Melisende called the Sonisphere ticket office and got this information:
Premium Grandstand Reserved Seating[/color]
I just call the Sonisphere ticket office to try and find out exactly what we're getting for our £474.00 Premium Grandstand Reserved Seated tickets - besides a barbecue, free booze and private toilets. The gal I talked to was very nice and was scrambling around trying to find a map, but Sonisphere hadn't issued any yet. She assured me several times, however, that for a premium ticket we will be at the front. I told her that I had been looking at the 360° view camera and could see no grandstands anywhere. I also didn't think that people who had been standing pressed against the fence since 7am would appreciate being pushed back while a group of VIPs are herded in as abuse is heaped on their heads.
She laughed and said it wouldn't be like that and that we will have "Reserved Seated" tickets exactly as it says, very close to the front. She also said that the reserved seats are issued on a first-come first-serve basis and that because we are buying into the pre-sale ( the regular public cannot buy tickets until Thursday), those of us buying now would get the best seats.
I'm going to call again near the end of the week because she said by that time they should have maps and be able to say more clearly just where that grand stand is located but it will definitely not be at the back - not for that kind of money she said!

Adam Lambert Confirms He Will Sing With Queen

Adam Lambert has confirmed through Twitter that he will be performing with Queen this summer. The American Idol star will join guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor on July 7th, as Queen headlines the second day of the Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth Park in England.
Lambert has long expressed his admiration for Queen and their late frontman, Freddie Mercury. For the American Idol finals in 2009, Lambert was backed onstage by the band’s surviving members for "We Are the Champions." In November 2011, Lambert performed several songs with them at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast.
Although reports came out earlier this month that Lambert would be performing again with Queen, the singer and his label, Hollywood Records, would not confirm any guest appearances until today.
"As many suspected, I can finally confirm: I have been invited by Queen to sing one very special concert! Sonisphere at Knebworth July 7th!" Lambert tweeted this afternoon. "Sorry to be coy about the details the past few weeks, but I made a promise to keep it under wraps as best I could. Gonna be a surreal night!"
Freddie Mercury’s final performance with Queen took place at Knebworth Park in 1986.
