I always find it funny (funny odd, not funny haha) that first comments from videos are "WOW" & then the critiques start: sounds tired, less energy, band too loud, backup singers bad, poor body image, etc. And these are fans. Imagine what the non-fans are saying.
All I know is that the comments from ppl WHO WERE THERE is that he was fabulous. And his dancing on the vids I saw didn't look "tired" to me. But that's just MO of course. We all have 'em. What?? Tired and less energy?! OMFG! If Adam had any more energy last night he would have flipped himself off the stage!!

His dancing , his singing, his banter between the songs AMAZING, funny the whole time, he was ON FIRE loved it!

Posting this in the this dead thread as well since it is a concert review Woke up this morning after that amazing concert last night and wanted to give another perspective. We were very close up in the pit third row so we could really get the "vibe". Vocals were amazing, Adam looked amazing, audience was awesome with the unfortunate exception of the first row of pit where a family was sitting (and I mean just sitting) the whole time with very sullen kids around 12 years old. Adam had to yell at them to get up at one point which they did but sat right down again. I felt like that was a bit of a metaphor for my next comments. Adam arrived on stage and it took a little while before lights came up but we could see him very well. Grandducchess said it perfectly. He was composed and reflective and as soon as the lights came on, he turned on the switch. My sense the whole night was exactly that - he turned on the switch rather than he stepped into the strong current of his own joy and energy integrated and spontaneous from the inside out. This is not a complaint. He is a consummate performer and amazing professional and will give his all every time. I loved him for that and I loved the level he delivered on but that UNENCUMBERED transcendental effervescent joy was not really there. I don't think it would be picked up from any distance back. It was subtle and on a feeling level. Nothing concrete. I chalk it up to fatigue (his tweet about his tired ass), the inevitable (how could it be otherwise) coming down from his tour experience (and yes, I am onboard totally with Adam being a superstar with his own music) and the reality of what lies ahead. He needs a good rest, good loving (which I am sure he has!) and our unconditional love in the form of support, positivity, turning out for his concerts and spreading the word. Great news was the very heterogeneous audience. TONS of men! Lots of them straight totally into it. Lots of kids - both sexes. Lots of families and an army of very happy women of all ages. We had a great experience interacting with many of the younger fans and grandducchess pointed out the precious gift of the cross generational communication that is present in this fandom. Our new young friends were delighted with knowing our "history" with Adam and the extent of our commitment and we were delighted with their passion and insanity. Looking forward to FS and Winstar. Fascinating journey with our Adam. Love him so much. Read more: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi#ixzz21B7iJHd4

I figured that went without saying though, when has Adam ever done a bad show? ;D Trying to send you a PM. Just keeps seeing you are not registered. No idea why. Please send me one and I will respond. Perhaps that will work

Tired and less energy?! OMFG! If Adam had any more energy last night he would have flipped himself off the stage!! Thank you for posting this! I've gotta say that reading some of the comments here is harshing my post-concert mellow. ;D I was at the concert last night, and I agree with myspencer -- I'm not understanding the low energy comments. My partner and I were in the 11th row, and the Adam we saw was bouncing/jumping with the crowd, dancing, and singing full power, as always. Not sure how much more energy he should be expected to have. Also, it's a bit disconcerting to see peeps who weren't even at the concert criticizing the performance. Sorry, guys, but you can't judge a concert by YouTube videos. The crappy little audio recording equipment in cameras is not designed to deliver an accurate audio recording. (Hoppers posted an enlightening comment about this in today's main thread -- go to page 6 to read it.) From where I sat, the sound mix was really good, but you'd never know it from some of these videos. So, enjoy the videos (or not), but please remember that they just don't do any concert justice. And Adam was lovely, charming, funny, etc. as usual -- and to quote Randy Jackson, he sang his face off.

In theosgma's defense, she WAS at the concert and I think her opinion and observations are as valid as anyone else's.
....and about the video critiques....everyone is coming from a good place. Geeeez.

But he came across so energetic & playful & funny & dancey!

Uhm PTL was fantastic live. Better than studio version PTL was insanely good live, and I know since I was there. He was really really good. And thats my opinion based on what I heard. Can't wait until tomorrow. And videos and livestreams do NOT indicate how good Adam is in person. Just my opinion.
