I was at endfest last night. It was the first time I didn't have to go to a ticket reseller for great seats. I was in the first row on the far right side and we were allowed to stand at the barricade by security. I love how he changes up his style. Costa Mesa was suave and elegant and last night in those sparkly zebra pants and sleeveless top he was edgy and cool. I stood next to a mother and daughter who were at the 100.5 radio station mini concert with me back in March. He spent a lot of time on our side of the stage and gave the daughter some serious eye time. She was thrilled. I had a great time.
Oooops. Maybe I should have checked yesterday's thread to see if this was posted.
ETA: Yeah I see it was posted last night. That's what happens when you don't take the time to read every page.
But it gives me the opportunity to say I am really surprised that they (apparently) are going for a Diva who is bordering on irrelevant today and they're paying her 17 mil??? More than JLo? Wow - this looks like a really bad decision to me. But what do I know?

All I know is - if they bring in another former idol who is not AFL that show will be dead to me forever.
IMO, Mariah is still and forever way bigger than JLo, so it makes sense if AI pay her more than JLo, and maybe the past 2 years, they overpaid her.
About Adam & AI? I really want to see him twice a week on my tv BUT I'm not going to let my hopes up. And if FOX/AI just used his name to get more buzz I'm going be really UPSET, but maybe there's a good reason for Adam not sitting on that panels.

I would have thought it to be a conflict of interest to have Randy Jackson and Mariah, since Jackson is her manager. I've never seen her in concert; does she have a personality? She's got the matching boobs to offset Christina and Britney. if it's true and Randy stays on the panel, then I'll bet he'll never disagree with her. I was so hoping for wil.I.am or somebody more relevant to today's music. Who would Adam play off of with this panel? Hmmm. Don't know now what to think.

I think Adam must be on their list but I think it is an outside shot. With ratings down 23% last year, and X-Factor adding big stars, there must be a lot of pressure for "stars" on the judging panel.

Yep.. The Voice gets Christina.. Simon gets Britney.. Maybe AI should get Beyonce or Pink or Gwen Stephanie instead of Mariah. And yes I read about Randy didn't confirm what's his role will be for S12

If anything, that might improve his chances. She covers the hot babe ticket and she cost a mint. They just might be looking for someone less expensive to balance the budget and who could handle her diva-stuff diplomatically.
ETA: She's 42? I did not know that. Don't follow her at all because I really dislike her music but didn't know she was that...seasoned. Don't get me wrong, that's young in the real world but in terms of female popstars, they often have sell-by dates measured in dog-years.

AI has been dead to me for quite a while so I'm not fully vested in who the judges are unless, of course, Adam happens to land the deal. Mariah -- bleh -- the rich get richer. I don't know that much about her. Sounds like another stagnant career is gonna take off.....interesting how these folks that come in to AI to spark their careers don't leave with any of the AI stigma. I'm disappointed.
