Know I'm late to the top ten list party, but here ya go . . . I'm not including anything that was done after the initial 'Idol' Season competition songs . . . that means for me, no 'Whataya Want From Me" or "Aftermath". Every week I was more and more amazed - wondering how Adam could top himself. I loved every song, every week - even though I can only include ten. Keep wondering why I can't fit "One" or "Black or White" in there! I'm including "Believe" because . . . well, because I behaved just like the audience when Adam sang . . . all I could do was drop my jaw in awe. That's when the power of his voice, not just his presence, captured me. So - here it is: 1. Change is Gonna Come 2. If I Can't Have You 3. Ring of Fire 4. Mad World 5. Beth 6. Play That Funky Music 7. Believe 8. Feelin' Good 9. Whole Lotta Love 10. Tracks of My Tears ETA: reading back in the thread, I see we're supposed to arrange the ten that have already been chosen . . . is that right? Oh well, I'll just stick with this . . . sorry, Q3, but these are my ten 'babies'!!

After all this time and playing Mad World a kazillion times, I have never heard a missed note at the end. I have always thought, and still do, that the last note is perfect for that performance. It is so breathtakingly deep and wells up from his very soul. My impression anyway. Seems it touched critical Simon too. Still my favorite Adam performance of all time.

I just heard on the news that Katy Perry, Rhianna and Coldplay are on the shortlist to play at the superbowl. And get this! The NFL who already doesn't pay the half time act now wants a percentage of the profit from the artists tour following the appearance!! What greedy arrogant robbing bastards!! I hope all three get together and agree to not take up the offer. I now don't want QAL to have any part in the superbowl!

I doubt QAL want to do the Super Bowl. They'd have to mime per NFL policy....

The NFL Wants Its Super Bowl Halftime Performer to PayOn the one hand, when artists play the highly watched Super Bowl, they stand to get a huge bump in not only album sales but ticket sales for their tours. On the other hand, the NFL has never asked for money before. For the first year in history, The Wall Street Journal reports, the NFL is asking artists (or record labels, rather) to pay for the privilege of headlining the 2015 Super Bowl. They've put out the request to their top three choices: Rihanna, Coldplay, and Katy Perry — who, unsurprisingly, aren't thrilled. "The pay-to-play suggestion got a chilly reception from the candidates' representatives." If they won't pay, the NFL is asking whether the musicians "would be willing to contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league." A pop star layaway program, you could say. Meanwhile, the amount of money the NFL is asking remains undecided, but I'm sure Katy Perry would be happy to sing the "Are You Ready for Some Football?" song.

The article on the sound engineering was fascinating - what I understood of it. It answers so many of my questions about Adam and his constant communications with his sound guy. That he is very exacting, that he has such a dynamic voice that it requires constant adjustments to the sound mix, that he moves around so much that the sound has to be tweaked, that he has very specific requirements for what he hears in his monitors, etc. It was also interesting to know this guy has been with him for a long time, so those rumors of Adam being a bully with the sound personnel and driving them off must not be true (or this guy is a masochist). The guy seems to enjoy the challenge of working with such a talented and exacting singer who requires the very best in him. I think Adam did go through several sound techs during the first part of Glam Nation. I think there was an especially big melt down at Mandalay Bay if I remember correctly. The FOH listed in the Glam Nation DVD booklet is Kirk Shreiner and monitor engineer is James Berry. This would be who had those positions for that show. I think Gary may have started later in the tour or maybe even not till the WAG tour. The company was Clair Brothers audio. I think I remember something about them having to send out a higher up to take over but don't remember if we ever really knew anything specific. I am glad to hear that Adam now has someone who has had time to get to know him specifically and if he can keep him that will only get better as time goes on.

I doubt QAL want to do the Super Bowl. They'd have to mime per NFL policy.... There are ways around that. Bono didn't mime when U2 did it. But then U2's own sound people ran the mix and handed off to broadcast and they did have a band recording running that they could switch to if necessary but there was no back up for Bono's vocals as they were live only. This is a point that is always prenegotiated when U2 does television as they will not do a show if Bono's vocals are not live.

Adam, too "queenie" for George Takei? I really loath Howard Stern and I am honestly so glad Adam has never appeared on his shithole of a show. I hope he keeps it that way.
I think it's George opinion that Adam's too "queenie". He didn't even said anything about PH, which in my opinion's the queen of queenie. But we just need to put Adam's picture next to George and we will see who's the queenie.. LOL.
Howard actually takes up for Adam by joking that he knows for a fact that Adam is hung. But overall that part of the show was just a silly game and I cannot take anything said very seriously.

Having read this article, though, I now want QAL to tell the NFL to eat shit and die regarding the Super Bowl: Paytoplay
It's bad enough that the NFL takes in $9 billion a year and yet has nonprofit status and pays zero taxes as a result.
