Yayyyy!!!! Album news. While it is still possible for a single to come out this year I'm not sure how probable it is. If they can get something out by late Nov/early Dec it is probably doable but it all depends on their promo plan for the album. Just a thought but I wonder if it is at all possible that Adam following Xfactor on twitter and Shosh teasing one more Edge artist to perform on the show after John Legend could mean a possibility of Adam debuting a single on the show. It's a longshot I would think but not completely impossible. It seems entirely possible to me that there will be some new music this year -- perhaps a buzz single vs. a radio single -- but since the album is almost done, I think the single is probably ready to go. >>> This is not a "secret" album like Beyonce, although we don't even know what genre it is. And I know, "genres are passe" but they really are not. They are a real part of how mainstream music goes to market. This album has Max Martin all over it so I bet it is a mainstream pop targeted product. And that means a single or two before the album is released. **** Assuming Q+AL is on XFactor UK, I am 99.9999999999999999999% certain it will be to promote Q+AL tour. I expect they will mention Adam's new album but I think it is close to impossible that they or Adam performs anything from Adam new album. It could happen but I think it is really, really, really a long shot. I expect this to be a somewhat more normal promo plan than Trespassing and I expect it to focus on North America first and foremost which means they will debut music in the US or Canada first. Not risk it in the UK. Do you think there is any chance of an AMA debut? It is November 23rd

Theoretically speaking if that does happen, that is another full circle moment haha.

Since neither article mentions touring with Queen, I suspect the dollar value of his fortune is much higher. I think Q3 said he would prob have made 10M with Queen.. That should put his net worth closer to 20M? No, it won't work like that because of expenses and taxes. We know he has great accountants and financial advisers so I am sure they are sheltering his money BUT the effective tax rate for a high-income resident of Los Angeles is 45% -- Federal, State, Local, SSI, MC etc. So whatever he grosses is not what he gets to keep. *** My guess is that Adam's net worth is well above $10-$12 million -- and he also has equity he has in rights -- recording and songwriting. I am certain that you can take all these printed reports and forget about them. It is safe to say that Adam is doing fine. And he is lives very conservatively considering what he makes. *** Regarding the Queen Tour -- Q+AL is a moderately expensive arena tour (smallish crew, not too elaborate set, note 39 trucks, etc.) but the ticket prices are high, most shows are selling out or close to it, and the VIP ticket sales are astounding. Plus, look at the numbers on the VIP posters from North America (they had to extend them to ###/8,000 and I have a poster at 7,268 so that means there were at least 7,268 $550 tickets. That is not counting all the other VIP upgrades they sold. The surcharge less the cost of the box of stuff all goes to Q+AL. 7,500 x $350 = $2.6 million. And that was the smallest # of tickets VIP level. They sold of ton at the $330 level.) Note: I did not look up the prices so they may be off a bit but just to illustrate. Queen themselves are multi-millionaires, still handled by Jim Beach after all these years and he was present at the Classic Rock Awards. I myself was wondering how that works out, because someone correct me if I'm wrong that Freddie's estate still benefits and also John Deacon, although neither has performed with Queen, for all these years. Prior to Freddie's death, Jim Beach met with him and worked out the best way to leave Queen a functioning, distinct entity, from his own estate. Jim Beach had stated feeling conflicted, due to his being manager of the entire band, but he was aware of the state of Freddie's health way before, it became apparent. The guys in Queen were well taken care of. I'm uncertain how Adam fits into the equasion, but since Adam is the driver of the Ferrari that is Queen vocally, his compensation has got to be significant. Perhaps we were lucky here in the US, as the ticket prices were reasonable, particularly in view of what the upcoming show's tickets cost. I was wondering since Adam is performing as the catalyst, that being lead vocalist, in lieu of Freddie, are the compensation splits the same? Also with Spike and one extra person, that being Rufus, it's easy to see how nightmarish trying to figure things out can be.

I couldn't work out how to post before, when someone mentioned that Queen and Paul Rodgers rarely get acknowledgment. Prior to Adam's first tour outing with Queen, Paul Rodgers made comments to the effect that Adam probably couldn't handle being out with Queen. Can we say infamous last words????
