Here's a thought to ponder for you all. If Brian did not even use the Red Special for the one song at the Rock Awards, why did he bring it? Is it possible he brought it to add some guitar licks to someone's 3rd album?! Also, in the new book, The Red Special, Dr May says they do not call it the Old Lady anymore because he thought it was disrespectful. It is THE RED SPECIAL!! I have been wondering about this and the dead day in between his two public events. Kind of makes me go --- ummmmmmmmmm? And why was Pete there? Brian would not need him to play back-up guitar for a end-of-show too many guitars performance would he> Why is Roger the only one who has talked about not recording with Adam. I don't think Bri has said that. Am I mistaken? (It is really late and I could have forgotten something!?!?) I guess we will eventually find out. .....'eventually' being the operative word!

Wow, I missed a lot today so far. I just got home from a 5k run/walk for ovarian cancer sponsored by my employer. It was 5,500 runners and walkers; a lot of people! Personally, Led Zeppelin is a great band and I like a few songs a lot but otherwise, not entirely my cup of tea. I always got the impression of major arrogance from both Plant and Page, but correct me if I'm wrong on that. You are not wrong about them being a bit on the arrogant side -- particularly Jimmy Page and John Bonham. Robert Plant not so much. But John Paul Jones is pretty "normal". They were my fav band in 1969-1971 (displaced by Pink Floyd) -- but I have always been a hard rock/metal fan. Still am. I think my current favorite classic rock band is Q+AL .

Thanks for responding to mys*&@^#r50 as it gave me answers to my questions as well. Sometimes you want to remember just how that information came to light. Imagine being the guardian of the guitar.....yikes such responsibility PLUS for 20 years!! Worth it to pay the person versus insurance. I cannot imagine he was a big hulking guy....incognito better option. I am actually surprised he shared that information...wonder if his wife likes sleeping with it too! Pete is only about 5' 10" and he is a guitar expert. Truly amazing guy.

It was my remembrance that it was the Austrialian promoter who decided to call that leg of the tour "Once in a Lifetime Tour". Will look it up when I'm properly awake (6.50 am here) but I feel sure that it was called that at the initial announcement in NY, long before Australia was involved. Anyone? edit: Not properly awake but I did look it up and the tour was called 'Once in a Lifetime' from the very first announcement on March 7. Brian indicated this would be their 'last go round'. i really think that they soon got other ideas.....lol The press called it that. They took a comment that Adam made and ran with it. And the fans joined it with calling the tour that. I could be wrong, but I am fairly certain that the NA promoters never called it the "Once in a Lifetime Tour" in any official promotional materials and it was the Australian promoters who first officially called the tour that since by then it had become the name most commonly used by the press and fans. Also, Brian has recently commented in interviews that he was not mean that it would be their last tour when he said "Let's rock those beautiful arenas just one more time".

That makes sense. So the tour didn't have a 'name' ...just Q+ AL. Good enough...does what it says on the tin.

Oh no hope we don't have to hear that refrain over again.. well if so,It won't take long for Adam to prove just how great he is ,no comparisons needed
