In this video Brian said that "Adam choses them (Queen) to play with". Did anyone catch this? So it means Adam and DMG really gets a lot of offers/proposals and they really careful in pick and choses which one they want Adam to do.
I may be all wet here, but I think Slash made a run at getting him. There was one early-on interview where Adam mentions in passing that he had recorded/worked with Slash on something. Anyone else remember him saying something along those lines?

Was listening to ENews this evening and they did a segment on 5 Seconds of Summer and commented on the jumper that one of the guys was wearing. I looked up and noted that they were commenting on a sweater that he was wearing. Made me chuckle.

Aloha all! Just delurking re Helene Fischer... I left Germany over 20 years ago so never heard of her but asked my brother (mid 50) about her. He said she is THE huge Schlagerstar in Germany and popular throughout Europe. All men like or love her and throw underwear on stage during her sold out shows. I replied that this happens to Adam as well, so my brother suggested they can open a dessous shop together Anyway, he said being on her show is bigger promo than on the 'Wetten Dass' Show and that it would make Adam known in Europe, not just Germany. Sounds good to me for selling out the arenas for QAL and for Adam's solo work/tours

Take That is a boy band, I don't think it can be compared to or can be qualified as big as Queen. That off course is my personal opinion.
He doesn't compare them he is just happy to see them, because both are important to him. And Take That are big enough, believe me.
Oh yeah I know Take That's big enough. I came from the other side of the pond where they're really big in the 90s. They have two members that are also big in their solo career, maybe bigger than the band itself (I like Gary Barlow better than Robbie Williams). And they're one of the big boy bands that are still playing together now.

They'll duet on Who Wants to Live Forever fml... He'll hold back. They could have done a song where her "I can only sing light, clear and pretty" approach would have bombed - and they played to her strength. This suits her way too much. SHE will be the star of that song, at least in German media... That's definetly gonna be a duet, that's what she does with most of her guests. She wouldn't pass on this golden opportunity for attention.
Ohh I don't like that scenario but it's very likely. And knowing Adam, he's definitely will hold back and let the host shine. But if they will sing WWTLF Adam's version, there's no way he can hold back if he does the part from 1:15-1:21 or 2:43 -3:00 like in this YT.

Watching this performance NEVER gets old! Love, love, love it!!!

In the 90s I didn't like them that much. But Progress, their album from 2010 - seriously one of the best albums I've heard in my life. And entire thing not just one or two songs. There are some songs I want to hear sung by Adam like "Happy Now" or "SOS".

Interesting twitter exchange that might give an idea of how the duet will go. @drbrianmay: sikkevanderveen How interesting. They evidently used our entire original track & video! I didn't know this ! t.co/jHb3yYDNGj ta Bri @drbrianmay: sikkevanderveen You hear me playing guitar, but they carefully took out any bits of me from the video. t.co/jHb3yYDNGj hmmm ! Bri So seems the show handled that "loosely", for want of a better term. Dr. Bri didn't let it slide. Thanks for posting that video, lulu1265. Takes my breath away every time.

Maybe I'm biased, but I've been to probably 150 concerts in my life, and QAL by far sounds the best live. I've seen some biggies too: Springsteen, U2, etc. Their sound and musicality is impeccable and second to none.

I checked Cologne tickets availability: very few far up second level seats left and they opened side stage sections - both lower and upper level!
