Yesterday I could still get Center Balcony for NYE on Row H. Today I can still get for Row K. Seems they've sold a few, but there are still center balcony seats available.

They show a snippet of Freddie singing Crazy Little Thing Called Love, followed immediately by Adam. Same thing with WWTLF at the very end. There's even a photo of Adam in his Trespassing yellow and black jacket next to one of Freddie. Anyway, plenty of Adam on this, including him talking. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGDWgkoZOtQ

I honestly do not understand how ANY actual, true Queen fan could watch an interview like that and come away with anything negative to say about Adam and his collaboration with Queen. He is so respectful of Queen and Freddie's legacy. He shows absolutely no signs of arrogance or ego up there. He is as much of a fan of Freddie and Queen as they are; the only difference being he's a fantastic singer who Brian and Roger have chosen to help bring these songs back to life.
you know, I've been thinking about this as well... and the only explanation I can come up with is that Adam is so good they feel he is threatening Freddie's legacy - it is all so idiotic that I hope I am wrong. But I can't come up with anything else, the fraction wanting to bury B&R in the archives not withstanding. I also think the majority of Q fans ARE happy for them, we see only a few posting all the hate. And even these can't come up with anything of substance, consistently spewing pure nonsense... I also think Adam succeeded in winning the majority of doubters over! And he's done it by just being himself. Well most of the negative things I've seen said about Adam seem to be said more to incite and piss off zealot glamberts. The feel I get is that there is no real problem with Adam's attitude or arrogance, or ego - just that the collaboration itself doesn't work for them. Although it's really petty, I truly think if they called them selves Glam Rock Church or whatever and not Queen there wouldn't be quite as much vitriol. It would be more tolerated. MOST of the vitriol is that it's being labeled as Queen when it's not Queen. Queen is and only is Freddie/Brian/Roger/John so without 2 members it's a different band. If it's a different name it makes comparisons much less inevitable. Now me? I'm satisfied that by the designation of Queen + Adam Lambert it is a different band than Queen and Queen + Paul Rodgers....but others are more picky. *shrug* Their loss.

Full interview ,Adam is sooo humble.. video stops and starts up again.. I thought it was over ,but it goes to the end. I honestly do not understand how ANY actual, true Queen fan could watch an interview like that and come away with anything negative to say about Adam and his collaboration with Queen. There's the person and there's the singer. Some of the Q fans don't have problem with Adam the person and they even admit that they can see he's genuine, humble and nice person. It's not the person, it's the voice they don't crazy about. Adam is an amazing singer, but he's not everyone's cup of tea. Some people prefers apples and the other prefers oranges. Some loves both love apples and oranges, like me.

They are really having to promote this NYE concert. It would be a hard sell to get me to this event on NYE -- I prefer low-key NYE with my friends, being part of a locked-in audience at midnight would not be appealing to me, having to deal with the crowds around the event, etc. BUT if this was in the US, in the midst of Time Square, and I could go to NYC versus London, I would be really tempted -- but only for Adam. There are only 1,800 seats -- so why so hard to sell this one? Here's the thing, if it is going to be on TV anyway, and it is going to be freezing & crazy out and about in London, and if putting up with all the "crazyiness of being in that spot for NYE" you don't even get to see the fireworks, then why go?! I can see why people want to stay home! The London concerts are sold out, so it has nothing to do with QAL. Plus, the tickets' sales really don't matter! The money for this show is coming from TV's advertising dollars. Biggest show in UK = plenty of money from sponsors!

Some new pap photos of Brian and Roger have just surfaced from Berlin, in front of the Ritz Carlton. I love this picture of Bri; dude needs a wind machine 24/7: And Roger's hat and coat are pretty amazing: Have not seen any of Adam.

I'm satisfied that by the designation of Queen + Adam Lambert it is a different band than Queen and Queen + Paul Rodgers....but others are more picky. *shrug* Their loss. This attitude sounds very reasonable, but on some level it's a little off, right? I mean, it would be one thing if Adam, Brian, and Roger came together to record and perform brand new music, totally unrelated to Queen, but that's not what happened. We're talking about Queen members playing Queen music that they wrote themselves. Pretty weird to call that something other than Queen (or Queen + AL), if you ask me. I understand the instinct behind wanting to define Queen as Freddie + Brian + Roger + John, but that's not how the business works. I mean, even the Beatles were called the Beatles as John + Paul + George + Stuart Sutcliffe + Pete Best, long before Ringo ever came on the scene. Hell, Sutcliffe was a founding member who even chose their name. Obviously, Stuart Sutcliffe:Beatles ≠ Freddie Mercury:Queen (hell yeah, SATs ), but you get my point. The list of bands whose members changed significantly as their name remained the same is too long to attempt to name here. Is Nile Rodgers no longer allowed to publish and perform as Chic because Bernard Edwards died 20 years ago? And I say this with every sympathy and respect for those fans who are no longer really interested in Queen without Freddie. In other words, I agree with you Talon in that Queen + Adam Lambert seems like a good designation to me.
