Soooo excited now.
I have been laid up since 9th December with a shoulder injury and a probable slipped disc in my neck. I have had issues with my grumbly shoulders and back for years, having steroid joint shots every now and then. I had "toothache" in my arm for a couple of weeks prior, and just thought it was the shoulder again, a bone spur pressing on a nerve. Then got up and made a cup of tea that morning, lifted the cup with my "good"side and wham! Went into complete spasm and hit the floor. Took me an hour to crawl from kitchen to part way upstairs, where my 4 year old grandson came to my rescue and got his Mum. (She and my son can sleep through a hurricane). I was howling in pain. After a lot of arguing from me, she called an ambulance and I was gas and aired from my bedroom to A and E. Morphine given on arrival and a good dose of DIazepam. Put on Nerve pain meds to add to my strong painkillers I always take. Steroid shot to shoulder few days later from GP. First hospital appt for proper investigations to start is day before gig (anyone from UK will know that is totally normal!).
ANYWAY.........the point of this completely OT story is that my middle son, who is coming to Manchester with me said the other day he knew there was no way I would cope with the Arena, (I have only ever been once, he has been lots) seeing as although I am no longer howling with the pain, I am pretty much confined to bed and have not driven yet. Well, wasn't going to accept THAT.
Remembered I had a friend of a real life friend on FB who had said she would be duty manager on the night. PM'd her to seek advice. Instantly, she took my ticket details etc (and we were way up in the Gods, another concern for my son) and bingo! Sorted straight away. We report to the VIP door at 6.30, my name is known and will be escorted to disabled access. Better than my wildest hopes; I genuinely wasn't looking for special treatment, just tips on what I could do, but of course, she knew all about my recent woes and just sorted it, as we chatted online.
Her words "you must get here early as this is a VERY HOT ticket".
So at the end of a very long story, you can draw these conclusions:
Nanny and son WILL go to the party........
Direct from the horse's mouth, this gig is in great demand.
Nanny is beside herself with glee!

I just need to figure out how to get my hair cut and sorted before the date in question as I have a look of a spurned, shaggy donkey at the moment; possibly one who got made redundant after all the Nativity plays.......

You know all those people saying "Who IS that guy singing with Queen on NYE??? Where did he come from?" As they go searching on Google and YouTube, I want them to see blaky's video. To see the evolution. To see that he has been singing and performing all his life. This is the perfect time for her to share it. So, please, those of you active on twitter, tweet the link to friends and strangers alike. And, if you are brave, how about to Roger, Brian and Adam? youtu.be/-_M_vvU_ofg

Thank you all. My middle son will definitely advise me on the styling, he is my gay child and loves fashion, but I will contact the above for back up.
Wonder if I can get hold of him via FB??? Hmm........
I have a wheelchair too I can use, if needed. I hope not, but good to have it there. I have already had to purchase a stool for the shower. Oh, the glamour.....

Call this guy, Nanny.. Another Atoper and I are going see this guy...in February. But not for a haircut Although with his skills I am sure he could handle that "beauty skill" too! ...Rupaul... Battle of the Stars. Surprised even myself, that I am going! Enjoy yourself nanny .....maybe watch the arms sway motions. .....you need to make it to the end if the concert without spasms!
