Nile Rodgers @nilerodgers 1m1 minute ago @adamlambert I remember playing these songs live. We smoked it! awwww... JanusAquarius @janusaquarius Sorry Nile, we've done the calculations and it's been determined that to overtake Dr Bri you have to leak one of your secret Adam tracks. Squeegee Beckenheim @starryeyed101 Nile, I think you need to up your game. It's gonna take a podcast I think, with the spare Avicii tracks playing in the background! Susie Fierce SusieFierceThe Hit Maker vs. The Red Special. Battle of the dreads vs. Dr. Bri Hair ... Who. Will. Win???

I agree Cassie. There had to be a way to demonstrate to many Idol viewers what they may have forgotten and that is why Adam rules in the first place. Not just his beauty and intelligence which is on display as a judge, but his ability to interpret song. There was really no other way in the context of auditions for him to sing (JLo and Harry will have many opportunities over the course of the season) and what better song than one that ties back to his Idol beginning and Queen present. So I am also pretty sure it was staged as well. I am so ready for new music though. Summer, sigh. Ok glad to hear your and cassie's take on it. Adam looked a bit reticent when Harry suggested it. That and the giant space between Adam and the others made it seem not that comfy yet. Or maybe he was just acting like a nervous auditioner. What a weird full circle that would have been, even in jest.

So, it is all acting... and he is a good actor apparently... but I did not detect any nervousness... In the previous clips I did notice a gap between him and the other two judges though, so there were some "acceptance" issues there for sure...

Of course that was staged & probably rehearsed too! Adam was "playing" him at auditions! These are not live shows. They were done in Sept. and heavily edited!
