Thanks, nica - she is a great writer. Another bookmark added. After finding a twitter post of her blog a few days ago, I find her blog very informative and she expresses herself so beautifully like Momtomany, Aleks, Cassie and others do here. A definite 'bookmark' site.

www.willkennedyproducer.com/eric-wainaina-patoh-njuguna-and-frasha-collaborate-on-disco/Jablea....thanks for the info on Kevin...I was curious and found nothing haha. yup....slow day....but still..... several topics caught my attention. 1. I read that link and the song Kevin played on; it caught my attention. That is a really good song. One wonders if this is something that will be coming out or if it will be hidden treasure. It would hot on the radio, and I am not even into rap. I really like the beat...and the lyrics are on the edge like rap, but done in such a smooth way you kinda just blow over the meaning and enjoy the disco reggae feel. Funny the little antics that one remembers. If not mistaken ... Kevin met a media type gal at an event they played and he invited her to party with the band, and they chatted close to all night! Haha ... I do not know why, but somehow in my mind that also aligned with the timing of Kevin's farewell. ( I remember learning Kevin was just filling for Brian, but....I was not aware this had been the plan until Brian arrived on the scene.) 2. Brian and Kickstarter Now through the link Q3 shared in yesterday's thread (which I just read this morning)....to see 6 completed songs that were being sold on eBay or Amazon, was a bit disheartening. And fan youtubes of some of those songs are out there....so songs were completed. I gave my 100.00 to the cause, and was forgiving when he shared about his money issues. And forgiving that he still could not pull it off even with: round two of some folks donating more, and no more communication. Just chalked it up to...it did not work out. But to know ...that in the end....there was a tangible product, maybe not in CD form .....well not too classy.

Lots of Kickstarter music projects get stalled. This one at least ended up with some music being released. I think Brian underestimated the costs and thus did not set the original goal high enough. Plus, his plan did not seem to have considered the risks. As I understand it --- Brian planned to create two music videos of two tracks and use that to get a label deal. So he started a kickstarter campaign. I am not sure why they decided to create rock tracks since the market for new rock music is quite small and very competitive. At the same time he and Tommy Joe put together 6 tracks and ended up self-releasing them.

Thanks so much for this info. I really did not know what happened to Kevin. I am happy to leave the choice of a touring band to Adam but I like and keep track of some of his past band members. Top of my list is Zac Baird. I am not a Korn fan so I was unlikely to ever learn about him except for his brief stint with Adam. Same thing for Camila Grey -- I only learned of Uh Huh Her because Camila was in Adam's touring band and now I am a fan. ETA: But I do want to hear a great band with Adam, and I want them to be his backing band when they are onstage with Adam. And that means -- they are there to support Adam.

Q3. Pretty much saying what I was meaning... yes... I thought ...the same ....it just did not work out financially....no big loss, If the videos were the only part he wanted the money for.... guess I had forgotten that over time ....LOL Thanks for refreshing my memory on the intent of the money. I was just now thinking he had at least produced Six songs that he could have advertised to the donors....but if that was not part of the concept....well .....just back to ....water under the bridge.

This whole band discussion thing is so beyond me I can't even... I remember Isaac because he was adorable and smiled all the time. I remember Tommy because he's pretty and Adam made out with him a gazillion times (yawn), and he poses like Victoria Beckham in every single picture. I remember Ashley because she wore hot outfits and Adam ran his tongue up the back of her neck once which caused a fandom meltdown. That's it. I have no memory of anyone else. No faces, no names. Nada. Zilch. hehe. so glad that i am not the only one! But I do know that Adam can Sang!

This is the link to the Kickstarter page. www.kickstarter.com/projects/brianlondon/brian-london?ref=nav_searchThe only things promised were various t-shirts, autographed items and one backer got a signed guitar. Non of the levels included copies of the music videos themselves, just behind the scenes footage and participation in the shoot for some levels. I remember the shoots took place and fans participated. I don't know if people received their t-shirts or other items. I see a lot of people who did not contribute complain about them not fulfilling their deal but I would be more interested in hearing from those who DID contribute as to whether they received the items that were promised at their backing level.
