RT @showforcegroup: Showforce recently had a 82 man crew at the Echo Arena for Queen + Adam Lambert. Read more: www.showforce.com/champions/I actually found this article quite interesting on a number of different levels. The Showforce company apparently supplied 60+ people for the Liverpool show to add onto the touring technicians. So, does that mean for EVERY city's show stop an equivalent number of people must be independently contracted ? (The article seemed clear that Showforce personnel were onboard for only the Liverpool gig.) That seems like an insane amount of local logistics. Could that be true for all arena shows?? (<snort> In which case Jill really *does* has her work cut out for her) ETA: I like Showforce's hiring description for crew: Showforce is always looking to add to its team of event crew in order to provide our clients with the best talent available in the industry. If you’re a self-starter, physically fit, have a positive attitude, good communication skills, well presented and are prepared to work long/ unsociable hours then we would like to hear from you.

Adam is certainly getting a lot of mileage out of his fitness photos! But frankly, I could do with a bit of a cover song of something unrelated to Queen or TOH. Just a nice cover or 12!!

I don't know if it was always 60, but yes. They always hire locals to help. Nick mentioned it in his blog and it is also mentioned in a video. Maybe the backstage one Dr May did or maybe the other film about setting up?

(<snort> In which case Jill really *does* has her work cut out for her) Yes, this is pretty typical. In fact, I think the Queen touring crew was quite efficient (small). *** The biggest tours have much bigger crews. Katy Perry's PRISM is a much larger production: www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/6187750/katy-perry-prismatic-brooklyn-reviewThis tour is the most amazing I have ever seen in an arena -- ever. Here is a description of the tour production: www.tpimagazine.com/production-profiles/2445523/katy_perrys_prism_vision.htmlFor starters they have a permanent rigging crew plus hire 24 local riggers -- that is just for the rigging!! There are 3D effects, pyro, huge video installations, etc. etc. Also, the tour producers will be familiar to many here....Tour producers — Bradford Cobb, Steven Jensen, Martin Kirkup, & Ngoc Hoang. Ngoc Hoang is a producer, best known for Katy Perry: Part of Me (2012) so I believe is involved to make sure the movie is great. So when Adam is ready for his arena tour, he has management who knows how to do it!

Wonder what Adam will do next to keep us occupied?? :D Thong on the treadmill? God I hope not! Maybe he could adopt a puppy and set up a puppy cam? Perhaps we should make a wish list up and send it to him.

Wonder what Adam will do next to keep us occupied?? :D Thong on the treadmill? Please no thongs, studded or on treadmills or otherwise. And nothing like Freddie's harlequin onesie or a wrestling singlet or anything along those lines... (I know, I know, I'm a party pooper!! - though I love the tasteful shots he's given us!)
