Thanks for stalking Graciejane ! I've gotten lazy bringing over Twitter speculation w/o checking it out further....lol. I thought I don't see Danielle anywhere. (didn't think she would fit behind the pole...lol) But... but... I took a peek at that instagram site, and wanting to see what the guy really looked like (he must have the same phone app as Adam), I clicked on the pic - first one in row four, and Danielle is in that picture. Small world, or Adam knows everyone.
instagram.com/mccabe971/I think that is Danielle sitting at the table in the picture that was tweeted earlier. looks like her to me and Tove Lo's hair is not that long and is a bit curly in the other pics of her.

well it was written by Pharrell...... j/k Just thought of another Pharrell song I thought sounded like another song. When I first heard Happy I thought it sounded like Tightrope by Janelle Monae. Sure enough, I YouTubed the two songs and someone had done a mashup on it. I guess he gets inspired a lot. Tightrope is a MUCH better song than Happy. I would live happily ever after if I NEVER heard Happy again...have dispised the song since the very first time I heard it.

With all this talk of artists copying other artists, e.g. Pharrell, Muse, Sam Smith, and in the past, Lady Gaga, I started thinking about Queen songs. Other than being inspired by the bass line from Good Times on Another One Bites the Dust, I can't think of any other song of Queen's that sounds like another song. I think they must be one of the most original bands around. I remember a comment on that Ultimate Guitarist matchup between Brian and Jimmy Page saying that they were voting for Brian because he was a lot more original, that Led Zepplin borrowed a lot of their music. The only one I remember was Whole Lotta Love from Muddy Waters. I do remember comments on videos or elsewhere where people thought certain Adam songs sounded like other songs. The ones I remember were Kickin' In and Broken English (Michael Jackson) and Shady (Stevie Wonder). I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this, but when I'm absentmindedly singing "Fat Bottomed Girls," I often find that at some point I've slipped into "Delta Dawn."

Anyway regarding Happy, you might appreciate this video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_DwMLUh1YQ

OT but Wow! HuffPost Celebrity @huffpostceleb 14m14 minutes ago Uh oh. Marvin Gaye's family may challenge Pharrell's "Happy" next huff.to/1L7PxfR
Marvin Gaye's Family May Challenge Pharrell's 'Happy' Next
The Huffington Post | By Jessica Goodman A court is awarding Marvin Gaye's family $7.3 million in the "Blurred Lines" lawsuit, and now another chart-topper might come under fire: Pharrell Williams' "Happy." YouTube videos have pointed out similarities between the track and Gaye's 1965 single, "Ain't That Peculiar," for months, but now the family says there may be grounds for legal action. "I'm not going to lie. I do think they sound alike," Gaye's daughter, Nona Gaye, told "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Nischelle Turner in an interview. His ex-wife Janis also said, "I heard the mash-ups -- but I didn't really need to hear them. I know 'Ain't That Peculiar' and I've heard 'Happy.'" No charges have been filed. Since the verdict was announced, music and legal critics have said the decision set "a horrible precedent" in the music industry when it comes to writing songs inspired by earlier artists. LA Weekly's Andy Hermann came out with a story headlined, "'Blurred Lines' Has Ruined the Entire Music Industry," while Slate claimed it "may end up cutting off a vital wellspring of creativity in music." For reference, listen to a mashup of "Happy" and "Ain't That Peculiar": I don't get this one. I guess it's just the beat? I listened to the originals by themselves and would never tie them together. On the Marvin Gaye original that Blurred lines copied I had to double check after the first stanza to make double sure I wasn't listening to a mixed version. Just way too copy cat with the sticks and even the Oh oh sounds. I don't think this one will fly so easy if it goes to court, it doesn't sound copied to me. The Gaye family won the lawsuit for Blurred Lines because the written score was close to identical. I don't know about Happy and Ain't that Peculiar but from what I understand the written scores are not identical.

I don't hear that much similarity with the "happy" mash up either. the Blurred lines was much more obvious

I thing some Adam fans are over-estimating the importance of Shazam to Adam future single. But the SBG-Shazam deal has nothing to do with it. 1. This hot news is from October 9, 2014. 2. Sun Broadcast Group does not do Mainstream Pop..... From their website -- General Market Details -- they list these formats: Hot AC, Soft AC, Urban AC Rock, Alternative, Classic Rock News, Talk, Sports, Business Country, Oldies, Urban, Spanish sunbgi.com/the-sun-difference/3. They are a marketing firm that develops content.

Tove Lo's Habits video has over 100,000,000 views on YouTube so far. This youtube interview is interesting. Her English is very good. Imagine 100,000,000 ppl discovering adam haha. Wwfm has 47 mill I think views on yt. Example of how social media has impacted streaming over the years. That's 100,000,000 views, not 100,000,000 people. Pretty typical for a song that was #1 in the US and a Top 10 hit all over the world.

Ppl always say Trespassing ripped off the baseline of Aobtd. Cant imagine Brian and Roger suing Adam haha. And I agree re tove lo v Kp. But still think a adam Kp collab later down the track would be awesome. well it was written by Pharrell...... j/k And the baseline for AOBTD was actually written by Chic.
