99% certain that the location is Mother's Beach in Marina Del Rey. Shot from the pier that sticks into the lagoon and facing toward the Jamaica Bay Inn. The building in the background with the blue roofs is actually across Admiralty Way from the beach and the Inn and I think is called the Admiralty Apartments or Villas on Admiralty. Best view is to go to Bing Maps and use the Bird's Eye option. You can also get a quick view of the marina with this link www.admiraltyapartments.com/home.php and go to the Tour tab so you can see where it is in LA as well as views of the pier. And adding this shot of the Villas.

I just can't get over how much younger he looks in that interview....and I can't pin point why. Is it the lighter hued facial hair? Whatever it is - he looks wonderful! Millions of Dollars could do it!

It did make for a lovely backdrop.

I'd say privacy, looks like they can make the dock private. It looks close to the beach because of the telephoto lens but actually far enough away for nobody to pay attention. Power to get a live camera feed there. Wonder if it's close to someplace else they would use if the weather had turned bad? ETA - the sign on the pier says "Entrance Dinghy Launch" which sounds Australian/NZ to me lol.

I think it is the lighter hair, both head and facial; as well as the 'softer' hair style. Just more of a boyish look. FABULOUS looking.

OT but I have to say I think Christian Siriano makes beautiful gowns for women. He came from a reality competition, like Adam (see how I brought it back to Adam lol), and I feel he is a really relevant and good fashion designer. Christian Siriano @csiriano 1h1 hour ago Sketch of the day: watercolor tulle gown. Sketch prints are available at our online store www.christiansiriano.com So even though I don't watch reality TV...it did give us the AMAZING Adam Lambert and the talented Christian Siriano. He does beautiful wearable work. And BTW he sells his sketches like the one above very reasoably, they are beautiful framed for a young girls room or a sewing room.

Late to the party but it was not sunny where I was at today, although it's several miles from the coastal areas at the corner of WeHo and Beverly Hills. It was partly cloudy around the time that the interview took place. I personally think it was a backdrop of some kind.
