Do you have that master radio list handy so we can scope out the stations in our areas and decide what age and gender we will be for which one? I have to update the radio lists on this site. In the meantime here is the station list. Check the radio station website for info.... Note: These are the Mediabase monitored stations which are most likely the Billboard BDS Monitored stations used for the US charts. The Billboard list is not released. The US Radio Stations that Matter The first number is the market's rank, not the station's rank. But a station in a small market cannot access a large audience. There are a few additions at the end of each list. TOP 40Rank Market Station -- > VideoTV M-TV -- > VideoTV MTVH-TV -- >Music Choice MC40-FM -- >SiriusXM S001-FM -- >SiriusXM X003-FM -- CC Premium Choice PCHR-FM 1 New York WKTU-FM 1 New York WHTZ-FM Q3, do you have similar list for Canada, at least for Toronto area? And is there a way to find their demographics? Thanks.

True but I still think Radio is the best source of discovery for new music. I rarely listen to broadcast Radio -- and there is nothing to discover on CHR/Top 40 radio. The playlists are restricted to hits that I can easily sample on iTunes. I listen to Spotify and check out music on YouTube. I also subscribe to some great playlists like Sean Parker’s Spotify playlist–Hipster International (along with almost 1 million other people). And occasionally I listen to new music I like on Pandora and see what else they recommend to me. I am a huge fan of the Music Genome Project recommendations.

A lot of the younger folks in my circle just do youtube. And some do Spotify. But never ever radio!

I mostly listen to Tune-in now when I have wifi, along with some commercial radio stations in the car. If I hear something I like, off to utube I go and then maybe buy for download to my iPod. Yeah, I'm old, but I do pay for my music. Some of my best finds have been thru bumper music and random music in stores I can't justify paying for radio, so no Sirius or any of the others. Lots of younger family tho into Spotify and Sirius (teenagers and parents)

www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/adamlambert/view/123325/?isworld=yAdam Lambert reveals the greatest lesson he learned from touring and performing with Queen Superstar Adam Lambert has opened up about touring the globe with iconic rock band Queen and confessed that the past couple of years with them have been 'surreal'. Speaking to Sunrise in Australia today, the hitmaker explained that they developed a close bond and had an amazing time performing the band's songs together: "There are moments where it feels surreal, but we've been doing this now for a couple of years so it's definitely kind of meshed and found... it sits in a familiar place now, which is great. We get along really well; we're like a family." He went onto add that one of the most valuable lessons he learned while on the road with the 'We Will Rock You' legends is that it's so important to enjoy what you're being given the opportunity to do: "I think what I learned from their example of not taking it too seriously - being thankful for the opportunity to get to create and entertain people. That HeWhoCannot ameds any sort of ego or money or anything like that. They really take joy in the fact that they get to still be on stage."

Why is this fanbase sh*tting itself, like they have never seen a single / album drop before. What is wrong with folks? This is not our first rodeo, and the names that I see on twitter, who seem in need of a glambulance or two, those are not new names? Want to yell at them: Get a grip, but somehow, I think they are beyond the point where yelling might be of assistance, lol. I think you probably meant this as a rhetorical question/s, but I'm going to give you my 2 cents anyway. This is not our first rodeo, but the rules have changed. I remember radio requesting and filling out request forms, but now we're being to not to do that unless we're in the proper demographic.
I remember buying on iTunes and Amazon, but now we're maybe supposed to stream, too. I think we can buy no matter how old we are, but should we stream if we're older? Shazam is new or not and it is or is not streaming? I'm fairly certain Spotify is streaming, but I still don't know whether it will help if we aren't in the correct age group. Are there more streaming sites and are some or one better to use? Playlists come in here somewhere, but should include lots of artists whether we really want to listen to them or not. There is something about making the playlists attractive enough for other people to want to copy them or maybe not. Should we make playlists that kids in the right demographic want to copy? There are a whole lotta fans giving other fans unsolicited advice that are adding to the confusion. Many of the fan advisors (the mean girls) seem hell-bent on offending as many people as possible.
Their credibility is zero once they start calling people stupid or other names that mean the same thing. The mean girls have targeted older fans, blaming them for radio's rejection of Trespassing. The older fans are riled up and aren't going to take it anymore.
I don't know exactly what Shoshanna is getting paid to do.
If it's explaining stuff to the fans, she's going to have to do it better. That twitter party was a mess. She answered far too many questions from too many people and the info got lost in the replies. She needs a plan. Put out the info in short digestible bites and not let herself get sidetracked answering questions that dilute the message. As for those irritating fans on twitter, the only thing I know to do is unfollow them. EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT... Those were some pretty good two cents worth...got to give you that. To do something hopefully constructive, here is my understanding to your question list from above: This is not our first rodeo, but the rules have changed. See my 2 little pennies back to you in purpleI remember radio requesting and filling out request forms, but now we're being to not to do that unless we're in the proper demographic. Glad I don't have to do that direct requesting anymore, did not work well for me anyhow. Hope, won't be back, and that being older is a blessing, in this case.
I remember buying on iTunes and Amazon, but now we're maybe supposed to stream, too. YesI think we can buy no matter how old we are, but should we stream if we're older? Yes, every stream counts, but younger is the radio game.Shazam is new or not and it is or is not streaming? Shazam is not new (1999 /2000), Shazam statistics are important to recognize music trends early on (hit-forecast). But you need many thousands of searches to make any major impression, and so fans cannot manipulate. Second benefit of Shazam is for indies and unknowns. It is a way to show up on PDs radar screen. But if Maxwell already tweets about you, you don't need to worry about that part anymore. You are past that step already.I'm fairly certain Spotify is streaming, but I still don't know whether it will help if we aren't in the correct age group. Are there more streaming sites and are some or one better to use? Every stream counts, but artists who want to be played on CHR, want to / need to have an audience in that demographic. Besides Spotify, other big ones are Pandora and Rdio, also Vevo, BeatsMusic.Playlists come in here somewhere, but should include lots of artists whether we really want to listen to them or not. There is something about making the playlists attractive enough for other people to want to copy them or maybe not. Should we make playlists that kids in the right demographic want to copy? Don't know a ton about this myself yet. Still experimenting, and also waiting for better understanding where and how his music might fit. Right now, I can only create other playlists based on my general interests. Not sure, how that is supposed to spread widely or whether that can eventually be successful. Presently, I don't see, how if you don't have a following yet, how you suddenly should have a far reaching playlist. Hopefully, some of the existing big playlists start including Adam's music. A friend of mine said that playlists are like sperm. Most of them lie around dead, but that one, that is successful, that makes all the difference....There are a whole lotta fans giving other fans unsolicited advice that are adding to the confusion. A few fans create panic and panic is always confusing. I think there have been pretty consistent messages coming out, easier than all this requesting stuff in era 1 and 2, imo. Many of the fan advisors (the mean girls) seem hell-bent on offending as many people as possible. Ignore them.Their credibility is zero once they start calling people stupid or other names that mean the same thing. Bingo. The mean girls have targeted older fans, blaming them for radio's rejection of Trespassing. Who cares, what some idiot on twitter says. Ignore. The older fans are riled up and aren't going to take it anymore. Ignore.I don't know exactly what Shoshanna is getting paid to do. She is his publicist. Doing fine.
If it's explaining stuff to the fans, she's going to have to do it better. Nope, not her job. Also, some fans are hopeless. That twitter party was a mess. She answered far too many questions from too many people and the info got lost in the replies. I must have missed that one.She needs a plan. Lol, I think, she has one.Put out the info in short digestible bites and not let herself get sidetracked answering questions that dilute the message. I agree that she probably should ignore more of these side-line questions. Because they breed like guinea pigs, and secondly, on twitter, some stuff just gets all mixed up, due to incomplete and messed up message chains. As for those irritating fans on twitter, the only thing I know to do is unfollow them. Done.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I only briefly tried the radio requesting bit last cycle, but wasn't comfortable doing it. Happy to skip this cycle. Tried Spotify and deleted it, but streaming makes more sense for me than radio. I'll have to check out the other services that count for BB. Think I'll stick to ATop for this kind of info. Twitter can be a great resource, but I need to filter. Don't need more drama, got enough have in RL.
