Avicii, Adam Lambert, Nile Rodgers — “Lay Me Down,” True (2013)
True is the debut album from Swedish DJ Avicii and it features collaborations with an interesting batch of people, including Salem Al Fakir, Audra Mae, Dan Tyminkski, and Adam Lambert. Rodgers is credited as a producer and as a guitarist who appears on the singles “Wake Me Up” and “Lay Me Down,” which also includes Lambert on vocals.

When specifically asked about Shazam, Shoshonna (not Adam's management) responded by saying that requests, streaming and Shazam will all help when the time is right. It is not clear that she would have even mentioned Shazam if it was not a question that she was specifically being asked by confused fans on Twitter. Unless there is a Shazam promotion, there is nothing that will have a significant effect involving Shazam right now. And streaming on Spotify and Pandora are just as good. No "Shazam" advantage. CAUTION: If you Shazam ID songs, you will get telemarketing calls and online promotions based on what you do. Please read the terms and conditions so you understand your personal data rights or lack thereof. I promise that when we get more info about when and how they are releasing Adam's single, I will post a list of what we can do. **** ONE THING TO DO NOW. Set up an attractive ID with your local pop station(s) -- the one you can hear from your home on a radio not the internet. Look for the local stations that play CURRENT HITS and for HOT ADULT CONTEMPORARY (HAC) Stations. They seem likely to be promoting Adam's song to both of these formats CHR/Top 40 and HAC.

I wonder whether Shoshanna sometimes wished she never started discussions with fans via twitter. The crap people are sending her directly and the stuff they are asking, .... Got one question: Why is this fanbase sh*tting itself, like they have never seen a single / album drop before. What is wrong with folks? This is not our first rodeo, and the names that I see on twitter, who seem in need of a glambulance or two, those are not new names? Want to yell at them: Get a grip, but somehow, I think they are beyond the point where yelling might be of assistance, lol. Here is what I see: 1) His management team clearly has put a promotional plan in place, and it will come rolling down the hill like a freight train before we know it 2) His label is actually interested in him and is supportive, what a difference. 3) Shoshanna is proud of the plan they have put together for Adam. 4) Adam is nervous and he looks fantastic. Still gives good interviews, talking points are exactly mapped out. All is well. Everyone can relax, nothing seems all that unusual, and everything seems in good hands right now. I think there is strategizing or there is going off the deep end to 'save' Adam. Overcalculating. I believe Shosh when she said there would be some concrete direction for fans who are interested. I don't get all the angst either. And I have much appreciated the information we have received on Atop as to how Shazaam, Spotify etc. work since I'm not techie. That's true useable information. I agree, chilling will help Adam more than freaking out. Are we that desperate? The fandom isn't going to make or break Adam on this one. I think he'll do magnificently.

Yeah I don't get it. Fans can only help so much. But Era won't make it or break Adam because fans weren't downloading Shazzam enough haha. Streaming is important. But fans should be doing nothing right now, its about timing.

Will streaming count internationally? If it will, I have to say I don't have Spotify or Pandora here in my country. Does Rdio count?

Will streaming count internationally? If it will, I have to say I don't have Spotify or Pandora here in my country. Does Rdio count? Streaming does count internationally but only towards your local charts. In NZ RIANZ Top 40 Charts started counting streaming as of late 2014. So streaming here is crucial too.
