Somewhat Adam related. I know that Kelly Clarkson has a wonderful voice, just have never been captured by her songs. However, I LOVE tracy Chapman, and Kelly's cover is pretty damn fine, IMO.
Tie-in, you ask? One form of happiness for me would be hearing Adam cover any, any Tracy Chapman song. Perhaps this is not suited for Adam for some musicality reason, just a demonstration of my undying belief that he can sing anything, and give me feels.
Especially this one:

Especially this one: or this one: I love Tracy Chapman and especially 'Give Me One Reason' and Kelly did a good job but Tracy is just so fine on this song! And yeah....I think Adam could really put his own signature on her songs.

Adam is mentioned in an article on a German internet gossip-site! It's about stars who supposedly insured parts of their body and they say that Adam's vocal chords are insured for 47 million US Dollar. I made a quick translation of the article! Since his tour with Queen in the US, Asia and Australia in 2014 and in Europe in 2015, US singer Adam Lambert is riding on a wave of success. In December 2014 Roger Meddows-Taylor told the press in the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Berlin "We don't want to work with anyone else after working together with the brilliant Adam!" With so much praise about his vocal talent it would be truly understandable if Adam Lambert insured his vocal chords that high! www.klatsch-tratsch.de/2015/03/21/das-sind-die-zehn-teuersten-koerperteile-der-promis/236295

q3 you wrote: "What can fans do to support Adam? Until the song is released, there is not a lot that fans can do. Once the song is released and active promotion starts, buy and gift the track. Sales will matter a lot in the first week" In addition to the purchase advice - following the release of the single don't you want to encourage everyone to stream the song rather than playing the purchased version? Encouraging everyone to stream the song would in effect double down on impact. At very least it generates count and a small amount of revenue. Yes, streaming the single will be on the TO DO list for release week but sales matter most. There is no benefit* to streaming other Adam music and nothing to stream prior to that. >> I put together a TO DO list that includes what fans can do now that includes streaming prep. >> But on release week -- it is essential for fans to buy the track. That matters most to charting and to the impression PDs have about the track. The last really big release from WBR was Jason Derulo WTWM ....the launch was focused on a balanced mix of radio promo, sales and streaming. But even with this Rhythm/Corssover track, sales were the most important component on week one. Here is the schedule and what they did. Jason Derulo, "Want to Want Me" (Rhythm/Crossover -- Adam's single will almost certainly be Mainstream Pop.) Teased by Z100 Radio on Feb 17. Z100 New York ✔ @z100newyork Yo @jasonderulo we are hearing that your new music is ON FIRE!!!! When we gonna get our hands on it dude??? Online Sunday March 8, 2015 Released for sale Monday March 9, 2015 >>> Radio PD's could see it in the iTunes Top 10 when they were programming the song.Released for streaming Monday March 9, 2015 Official video of audio on YouTube Monday March 9, 2015 Impacted radio on March 17, 2015 - but already rapidly climbing up the radio airplay charts. Music Video preview on March 20, 2015 Music Video will premiere on Monday, March 23, 2015. >>> Will premiere on Tinder - a dating site Jason doesn't use.The Billboard charts Week 1: Monday March 9, 2015 - 7 days of sales tracking starts. Wednesday March 11, 2015- 7 days of radio airplay tracking including the impact date of 3/17/15. >> Week 2 airplay will be impressive - added by 156 monitored pop stations and debuted at #23 on the Mediabase airplay chart. Hot 100 #45 (debut)Digital Songs at No. 19 with 50,000 soldRadio Songs at No. 44 with 28 million audience impressions (up 78 percent) - WBR had radio stations wait to start adding and playing it for Impacting Radio date which was at the end of the week. Streaming Songs - did not chart, streaming usually builds over time. * Yes, Adam makes money when people stream his music. It takes millions of streams to amount to anything.

on a slow day, thinking of other songs I would love to hear Adam cover (totally personal preference, realizing it will be a l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ng time before his American Songbook albums, another personal desire):
*I think there is an issue with posting too many videos, so will do links*
(ETA: Oh dear, I posted the links and the board turned them into videos, didn't use the video icon, can someone tell me how to change it so they are links, not actual videos?)

Q3, I think some will be confused by your statement, several times, that all streaming services count. They don't! If anyone uses Pandora, please get ready to use something else if you want to use streaming for promoting the single and album! I recommend Spotify or Rdio, both very easy to use! Billboard considers the updated system to be the biggest shift in methodology since it began tapping Nielsen's SoundScan for absolute sales in 1991. With SoundScan, charts are based on point-of-sale data, not easily manipulated surveys of record sales, reports The New York Times.
For its measurements, Nielsen will feed statistics from "all of the major" on-demand services, including Apple's Beats Music, Spotify, Google Play and Xbox Music. Ad-powered platforms like iTunes Radio and Pandora will not be included in the algorithm. Under the new formula every 1,500 streaming plays count as one album sale. SoundScan and Billboard will also include "track equivalent albums" in which one album sale is equal to ten individual track downloads.
appleinsider.com/articles/14/11/20/billboard-to-count-streaming-music-services-digital-sales-in-charts-calculations ETA: I edited it to clarify -- some things that are counted for the singles chart are not counted for albums. I am also removing Pandora because they are only giving Nielsen some of their data and I cannot determine what. Nielsen is definitely tracking: AOL, Beats, Cricket, Google Play, Medianet, Rdio, Rhapsody, Slacker, Spotify, Xbox Music, and YouTube/Vevo.*** For singles (Hot 100) there are two components to Streaming Songs chart -- On-Demand Songs and Streaming Songs. Billboard Streaming Songs = "This week's top streamed radio songs and on-demand songs and videos on leading online music services."Link: www.billboard.com/charts/streaming-songsOn Demand Songs - are described above which is also used in the Album calculation. Streaming Songs - which are only used in the Hot 100. For example: The reason it is different is the Hot 100 includes a Radio component so they included the digital equivalent of Radio. Pandora only gives Nielsen some data -- but neither company will disclose what they are giving and getting. (Better than the nothing from 2012.) The Billboard 200 is about sales so they only include the digital services that are purchased, subscription based.

appleinsider.com/articles/14/11/20/billboard-to-count-streaming-music-services-digital-sales-in-charts-calculationsA somewhat related question... Someone asked the other day about Amazon Prime streaming music. Does anyone know if that counts? And does the free version of rdio count, or just the paid version? Billboard/Nielsen track Amazon stream -- but I cannot find any confirmation that it is in the Hot 100 chart. It is very small right now so they may not consider it "major".

Regarding Spotify and if they ask your age? They ask for your date of birth, thus they ask your age. I signed up as a 16 year old. Lol Best to be over 21.
