Glad to see you all are having a great time :D You deserve it! Not going to comment on an 8 second clip as it's not enough for me to judge...I will hesitantly say that the production sounds a little...warmer than Trespassing which is good imo. That was a great interview! Interesting that it's "restraint" he's going with...Not sure if that will be good or not - i'll have to see...sometimes I like hearing him go all out (STL), sometimes...(WATC) it's a bit much - so it kind of depends on the music :D I did personally pick up on: That sounds like more than Rio or even just a few South American dates are in store.....but maybe that's just me being optimistic... I agree! I am also hoping for more creative collaborations in the years to come! We are super lucky to have both solo and QAL projects! Who else can boast anything even close to such uniquely special artistic life?!

I am just speechless
These pictures
How can you be badass, vulnerable, brooding and smoking hot at the same time?
And I am getting more and more excited about the music!!
"In a world of sameness, Adam stands out and thank god, the music industry – and most others – need more voices like his."
"This album was executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback and they helped me keep a very cohesive sound and mood throughout. Sonically it feels more contemporary than my previous material. It’s definitely pop but not bubblegum. We have avoided camp and theatrics and have favoured a darker, more grounded vibe, and at the same time, it will make you dance! Lyrically, it’s very very personal, the album has an overall bittersweet feel to it. Vocally, I think it’s my most tasteful, sophisticated work to date. With Max’s guidance, I approached a lot of it with more restraint than in the past. Instead of being overly specific, most of the songs are more esoteric and so they’re open to interpretation. I’m curious to hear about the individual meaning that people find in the songs dependent on their own situation.
The first single feels like the perfect introduction to The Original High. It establishes itself in a very earthy, vulnerable way and transforms into a hypnotic dream full of surreal imagery and set to a minimal yet massive deep house beat. The hook will worm its way into your ears after the first listen. Get ready!"
This!! This is everything I was hoping for. I fully expected to like the songs on TOH, because they would be good. And Adam would be singing them. And I fully expected that I would grow to love them when Adam was singing them live. But I didn't expect to be blown away at first listen. And we know nothing yet, but what we do know gets me very very excited indeed! I might be totally blown away. The world might be too.

A small intermission from the gorgeous photos (I love black/white photography!) and terrific interview with Adam:
Today's "Reality Check" with Michael Slezak and Melinda Doolittle -- with a mention of Adam while they are discussing Joey's performance of "Mad World" on Idol last week (preview: Michael and Melinda think Adam "owns" the song, but still like Joey's version).
Discussion of Joey's performance starts at about 8:05; Adam mention at about 8:45.

Just figured out the perfect film role for Adam... A remake of Wuthering Heights - he could also sing the soundtrack music and in a total twist made as a modern tale of gay love. #heathcliff Omg, I was thinking exactly the same thing today.

The Wet Flop Straggled Shower Hair ... Ahem. This is "sex-in-the-shower" hair.
