adamlambert.warnerbrosrecords.com/NEW WEBSITE, GUYS
RIP IN PIECES ADAM OFFICIAL
Edit: I'm not sure he'll remain a subdomain of WBR...hopefully his team is able to move the site to the adamlambert.com domain eventually (assuming they've acquired it)!
Should I be fibbing about my age? Would it ever bite me in the butt? (I have this vision of winning some contest and their surprise when a senior shows up versus a 28 yr old!) But the community link takes you right back to AdamOfficial. I think it's just a way to have a page on the WBR site but AdamOfficial is not going away.

I can't see Brian working with Max Martin and Shellback. That's one reason I have a hard time seeing it as well. Especially since on one of Brian's last major pop appearances - Lady Ga Ga's You And I he was somewhat vocal about being disappointed how producer Mutt Lange buried Brian's guitar in the mix....Given that Mutt has a lot of previous work in rock, I would expect Max and Shellback would push it even lower...

I have Amazon Prime. I have used it very little for streaming music. I have not found any new releases included. I use Amazon apps to play my own library. Perhaps that is the "on demand" part? I don't know if playing from our own library will count. I am as confused as you. csquared and @bertbug you are not the only ones who are confused about Amazon Prime -- everyone is. A few key points..... > If you play music you own from the Amazon Cloud, it does not count for Billboard and the artist does not receive any royalties. If you download music from Amazon Prime and play it later offline, it does not count for Billboard and the artist does not receive any royalties. > Amazon has "over 1 million songs" available for streaming BUT no music from Universal Music -- just Warner, Sony and some Independents. > As of now, Amazon does not have many hits -- mostly you can stream older music. But there is some new music available on Amazon Prime. Here is a summery of Amazon Prime Music: www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1002557791Here is more info about Amazon Prime Music: www.techhive.com/article/2363269/amazon-prime-music-limited-listening.html*** On-Demand vs. Streaming Music > On-Demand is one type of Streaming Music > On-Demand = you pick the specific song you want to here. Amazon Prime offers this service. > Not on-demand but streaming is when a song is selected for you based on your preferences -- Amazon also offer this service. *** Billboard counts both On-Demand and other Streaming music plays for the Singles charts. Billboard ONLY counts On-Demand Streaming music plays for the Album chart. Billboard has a Streaming Songs chart which includes both On-Demand and other Streaming music. Billboard also has an On-Demand Songs chart which is a component of the Streaming Songs chart. I'm big into using Amazon Prime and I think that some clarity can be added to the above points. With Amazon, there are TWO modes of getting music. 1) Amazon Prime Music - the on-demand streaming service which you get automatically with a yearly Amazon Prime subscription. You stream the music via the Amazon Music App either on a smartphone, tablet, or PC. With this service, you can listen to any of the 1 Million songs in the service without having to purchase the music. You can either listen to the music while streaming it online via wifi or via cellular service or you can download the music for a limited time period and listen offline. As I understand it from Q3's description, each play of the a song online via this streaming service counts as 1 steaming play for BB, but if you download the song from Amazon Prime Music and play the downloaded copy, it does not count for BB. So best to listed online via the streaming service.2) Amazon - Whether or not you have an Amazon Prime subscription, you can PURCHASE songs and albums from Amazon and there is a much greater selection for purchase than what is on the Amazon Prime Music service. You can PURCHASE singles as digital MP3 files and albums as either CDs or as digital MP3 files (often you can get the digital MP3 files free with the purchase of the CD). The digital MP3 files are delivered either directly to your smartphone, tablet, or PC device using the Amazon Music App or to your Amazon Cloud. You can play the music you purchased at anytime either directly from you device or from your Amazon Cloud using the Amazon Music App. You can also download the music from the cloud to your device at any time. And downloaded music can be played with other music apps such as iTunes, VLC Media Player, etc. As I understand it, the PURCHASE of a song or album from Amazon is counted by BB as a ONE TIME purchase which is equal to listening to the song/album 1500 times from the Amazon Prime Music or other on-demand streaming service. And it doesn't matter if you listen to the song/album from your cloud or directly from your device, it only gets counted once as a purchase.Part of the confusion is because both the Amazon Prime Music on-demand streaming service and Amazon music purchases use the Amazon Music App. In the app, you click on "Prime Music" in the menu list to listen to songs/albums on the Amazon Prime Music on-demand streaming service. You click on "Your Library" to listen to songs that you have purchased and that are residing in either your cloud or on your device. Also, note that PURCHASING the song/album form Amazon (or iTunes or other place) counts a whole lot more than streaming the song/album from any on-demand streaming service, 1500 times more!!! So if you buy music from Amazon you cannot go wrong PURCHASING Adam's single and album from Amazon. You can even gift purchased songs/albums to other people from Amazon, you just need to enter their email address during the purchase.

Late in the day (and on this thread) - and kind of OT - but I wanted to mention an article in my local newspaper today (Mar 25, 2015) about a proposal to make Santa Clara County one of the few local governments in the country to establish an office dedicated to LGBT issues. The proposal which has received unanimous support has been made by Supervisor Ken Yeager to address and tackle problems specific to a population which he calls "traditionally underserved". Yeager, who is openly gay, has continually served the county well since his election in 2006, and now he has proposed the creation of this new office which is close to his heart. He has stated that while there are programs and services which address issues facing the LGBT population, an overall umbrella office is needed to look at all the issues. In particular, he has cited a disproportionate number of youths in the juvenile justice system identifying as LGBT, yet also acknowledged unnoticed problems among older persons, such as discrimination in nursing homes.
For those of you not familiar with this area, Santa Clara County is at the south end of San Francisco Bay in California. San Jose is the largest city here. The county is also the prime location of Silicon Valley with companies such as Intel, Google, Yahoo, Apple, and others with their home base headquarters here. It is an area of energy and innovation and disproportionate wealth, but it is also is an area where there are feelings of disconnect and hopelessness for those not sharing in all of this, especially among the homeless and disenfranchised.
I suppose I should have put this in another thread on social issues, but because this is an important county-wide proposal on LGBT issues and rights, I wanted to bring it here. Any further discussion can probably be moved over to the thread on social issues and actions. Gee, I thought I was the only person who posted here regularly who was from San Jose. Let me send you a DM.
