There were so many tweets, interviews, and articles for Ghost Town's debut that my head is spinning. Forgive me if I miss something. It's important that we give hits to as many links as possible. Don't forget to give the Official Lyric Video some love as well.

Adam Lambert single review - 'Ghost Town' - 5 out of 5 - 'the best pop song this year'
www.femalefirst.co.uk/music/reviews/single/adam-lambert-ghost-town-single-review-756441.html …
by Daniel Falconer | 21 April 2015
Transport yourself into Adam Lambert's 'Ghost Town' heart with his brand new single, kickstarting with 45 seconds of melodic and soothing vocal tones before rampaging through an intense and exciting chorus that showcases Adam at his very best. The singer is searching his soul with the first cut from his third studio record, and you'll be inclined to do the same with your first listen to this track.
Produced by album executive producers Max Martin and Shellback, this is a song that once more sees Adam push any genre boundaries he could possibly be restricted by, instead blending a variety of folk, pop, electro and house together and refusing to conform to the usual trends.
Addictive and catchy, there's a whistle line acting as a hook which you won't be able to get out of your mind, contrasting against the dark mood and tone that a lot of the track portrays. The lyrics are poignant and heavy, but thankfully aren't presented in a way that's going to leave you feeling hollow.

'Ghost Town' by Adam Lambert
Robbed American Idol runner-up, Glambert, and Queen frontman Adam Lambert is making his epic musical return. It's been a few years since his pop/R&B album Trespassing was released, and after undergoing a makeover that included sculpting his body and becoming "dad af" Adam is ready to unleash his new brand of pop on the world.
It may share the same name as Madonna's new single, but these are nothing alike. Working with Max Martin and Shellback, 'Ghost Town' is a chilly foray into the darker side of pop. Here his lyricism is on point, giving us some beautiful melancholic phrases like "Tonight, Elvis is dead and everyone's spread / And love is a satire."

Adam Lambert’s long-awaited new single Ghost Town and first release on Warner Bros. Records is a commanding stretch of unconventional pop. The three-minute track weaves together acoustic-pinned verses with the echo and whistle-dance extravaganza of a crisp chorus. The song isn’t as lofty as you’d probably expect: but if you were looking for deliciously chewy Katy Perry or Miley Cyrus bubblegum, you have come to the wrong place. Much like his journey on American Idol (now six years ago, if you can believe that!), Lambert is in a masterclass all his own. He’s a pop vocal gunslinger here, especially as the song swells and releases on the blistering bridge.

Adam Lambert: ‘Ghost Town’ Single Review
Apr 21, 2015
..
One of Lambert’s defining characteristics in his music is his ability to create a balance in everything he does, and the song doesn’t only strike a balance thematically but also musically. The chorus, in contrast to the stripped down verses, are executed with a synth-pop vibe. The whistle hook that comes right before the chorus is utterly addicting, and it’s quite surprising to realize that the chorus only comprises of one line, the rest is purely electronic instrumentals.
It works in Lambert’s favour, however, as the second verse is more instrumentally layered than the first. The song just keeps escalating from then on, and the bridge is a marvel to listen to. The lines, “There’s no one left in the world / I’m gun slingin’ / Don’t give a damn if go / Down, down, down” brings just the kind of ferocity that the song needs. Being in a ghost town isn’t all metaphysical realities and bitter regrets—there is real, tangible anger in it that Lambert’s voice executes effortlessly.
The song does seem a little short in length compared to regular EDM songs, and with the saturation of the genre it may be difficult to stand out in the crowd. But it’s still a commendable attempt at redefining genres while still maintaining his individual artistry. He has described his album as being “black and white” in tone, and the song proudly displays that with the utmost confidence.

Adam Lambert finally puts fans out of their misery by unveiling new single Ghost Town in full
Tina Campbell
Time to get mucho excited Glamberts for the day is finally here – Adam Lambert has unveiled new single Ghost Town in full.
Teaming up with hit-makers Shellback and Max Martin, it marks a real change of direction for 33-year-old Adam, who originally found fame as a runner-up on the 2009 series of American Idol.
The epitome of house ‘club banger,’ Ghost Town’s catchy whistle chorus is sure to be going around in your head for days (if not weeks).
Having had a sneaky listen to two additional tracks from Adam’s upcoming third studio album, The Original High, we can tell you that this is only the tip of the iceberg – expect an ear-gasm of the highest pop magnitude.

The 3rd Coming: Adam Lambert’s #GhostTown begins the Rapture of “The Original High”
Excerpt:
I’ve had about 13 hours to listen and think things over, and I think it’s safe to say that Ghost Town is everything the onslaught of early reviews has said it is, and more.
It is “BONKERS.”
It is a more restrained vocal offering from Lambert, but it does not lack impact, what-so-ever.
It’s a complete and total earworm, but while that description is often reserved for fluffy pop tracks that lack substance, Ghost Town is dark, broody and complex.
It does seem to owe some inspiration to the folk-EDM tracks of 2014 and Madonna albums before it. It does have deep house beats that are reminiscent of 1993 and work of recent artists like Kiesza. It *could* be compared to the tone of the X-Files theme. The best news of all is that while all of these things are true, Ghost Town actually sounds like NOTHING else out there in mainstream pop music right now, and that is why it will stand out.
These lyrics are dark, dramatic and will probably inspire many broody, attention-grabbing Facebook statuses from your most down-in-the-dumps Facebook friends. That said, they’re beautifully written and sit perfectly at home in the sometimes sparse and sometimes spastic sonic landscape Max Martin and Shellback have created here.
This track is ALL ABOUT DAT BUILD. It starts off airy and meandering, adding layers and intensity as the song progresses, but JUST WAIT FOR IT! After the second hook, the bridge goes balls out, with Lambert’s vocals soaring and climaxing with what might be the most glorious vocal performance of the word “Oh” that I can recall on record, before the chorus explodes in whistles and basslines once more to finish you off. It’s the most transcendant 15 seconds of recorded music I’ve heard this year, and for me personally, it’s the biggest payoff of the entire track.

Adam Lambert Reveals New Single 'Ghost Town': Here Are 5 Things We Love About The 'Americal Idol' Singer's Track...
The hype surrounding this new Adam Lambert single is usually reserved for the arrival of a new Royal Baby - or, at the very least, a new side dish at Nando’s - but at long last the track has arrived.
If you’ve been on Twitter at all in the past few weeks, it’s highly likely you’ll have seen a string of tweets and posts from music journalists raving about Adam’s new song, the first to be released from his impending third album - despite the fact it seemed like nobody had actually heard it yet.
Thankfully, on Monday, Adam debuted ‘Ghost Town’ - not to be confused with the similarly-titled Madonna single - on his official YouTube page, so we can all finally judge for ourselves.
The response from his ever-so-slightly biased fanbase, the Glamberts, has been overwhelmingly positive - but if you don’t follow the ‘American Idol’ runner-up’s every move, can you still enjoy it?

“Ghost Town”: Adam Lambert Returns With A Chilly, Shape-Shifting Smash
by Bradley Stern
The warning signs have all been there in the past few months: A Max Martin and Shellback executive-produced record. Those brooding black and white promo photos. A Tove Lo feature.
Everything about Adam Lambert‘s grand return this June with The Original High feels spot-on…and now we know officially that the music is, too.
“Ghost Town” — which, yes, shares (basically) the same title as Madonna‘s new Rebel Heart single — is the first taste of Lambert’s upcoming LP.
And it’s probably not what you expected.
Everybody comes to Hollywood…
Surely Lana Del Rey would appreciate Lambert’s lyricism on this particular go-around, given the healthy blend of worldweary melancholy, Old Hollywood icons and religious symbolism (very Tropico) above a gentle acoustic guitar strum. Our hero is beaten down and deeply disillusioned offering a kind of chilling cautionary tale about fame: “I tried to believe in God and James Dean but Hollywood sold out,” he sings. “Tonight, Elvis is dead and everyone’s spread/And love is a satire…” A little darkness suits Lambert well.

Adam Lambert Premieres Trippy 'Ghost Town' Lyric Video
By Jocelyn Vena | April 21, 2015 8:39 AM EDT
Let the The Original High era officially begin. Adam Lambert is taking fans on a visual trip in his lyric video for his single "Ghost Town."
The video is fully of trippy, spacey images as the lyrics for the track flash across the screen. And unlike Madonna's video for her "Ghosttown," the lyric video is definitely lacking in any Terrence Howard cameos.

How to buy "Ghost Town"
Make sure you but GT from iTunes. It is the real time music chart that matters the most.
If you want to buy more than one copy, you have two options:
1. Send an iTunes gift to people who you know will accept your gift. It only counts as a sale if you download it. I am a fan of real gifting because it spreads the music around.
2. If you don’t want to deal with gifting, you can buy a second copy from Amazon and maybe from a few more places that report. There are 28 places in the US that sell digital music: whymusicmatters.com/find-music plus Adam's official store.
