Talking about being totally immersed in his performance.. I was surprised to hear Adam say that during a performance, he's making eye contact and having having thoughts about people in the audience.. how is that possible? He is usually looking at people in the audience when he performs. There are songs that seem to be exceptions to this -- like WWTLF and Soaked. But aside from those big emotional ballads, he really is looking around all the time. But thinking about the people in the audience is a whole nother thing. But I have seem him clearly know what is happening in the audience a number of times -- like when he sees security stopping camera use, or when he comments on someone's clothes. I actually recall one GNT concert where there was a very cute blond guy in the front row and Adam saw him, f'ed up the lyrics and cracked himself up, and then somehow kept singing. I knew that he looked around, but didn't know how he could be totally immersed in performance and in the zone, yet be having thoughts at the same time about audience members. And I guess you really can't or ^^^ that happens.

FYI: I ordered my copy from Magazine Cafe on April 16th, and still nothing. I finally called today and the representative said that the publisher delayed the date for the magazine to hit the newsstands in the UK. Huh? When it is on the newsstands, they will get their copies and send them out. I said they probably just underestimated the demand, with Adam on the cover. He agreed that there is always a huge demand for magazines with Adam in them. That was probably the reason for the delay. Don't know if he is blowing smoke, but at least they still have record of my order and are planning to send it out when they get supplies in. He wasn't blowing smoke, I got an e-mail from the magazine stating it would be delayed due to high demand!

It was me. I LOVE it for the same reasons. I have saved some that are similar. You're right, totally immersed. There is a screen cap I have (very fuzzy) from UP in Kiev where he does the same thing. I remember thinking how totally involved he was and in front of all those people. He definitely feels what he sings and is not afraid to go there. We stan a gem! Drive-by-post cause I have to run out the door, but it was from his Better Than I know Myself performance on Leno. Check out around the 1:20 mark: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEYjTfD427w<3
This forum and its members are AMAZING. Thanks!

The number of US album releases from major labels is way down. Album sales are also way down -- started to decline in 2002. Now running below 5 million units a week in the US -- almost every week. [10 million used to be considered the floor.] The total number of albums released in the US is also way down. It is still a huge number, over 50K -- but it was once much bigger, In 2008...released in the US: 115K total albums 6K sold more than 1K copies 1.5K sold more than 10K 110 sold more than 250K It will be a miracle if 40 albums released in 2015 sell over 250K units in the US this **. Kelly Clarkson's latest album (released Feb 27, 2015) has "only" sold 153,000 copies in the first 2 months -- it might get to 200,000 someday but will not hit 250K unless some dynamic changes. Wikipedia: "Opening with 83,000 copies of traditional album sales, Piece by Piece debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart with 97,000 units, which included track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums." That is a #1 album in 2015. Wow, those Kelly Clarkson figures look poor even allowing for today's tough market - is there a consensus in the industry as to what went wrong? Did the album review badly for instance? It is not really notable in the current market -- although a bit surprising to me. Within the Idol online bubble there were a few surprised people. This total would have been notable in 2012 or 2013 but not now. The critical consensus was it was an OK album 63 on Mediacritic www.metacritic.com/music/piece-by-piece/kelly-clarksonMany critics and fans said it had too many mid-tempo ballads on it. No, this is the market -- not this specific album.
