It has been great to see that GT is doing very well in several European countries, the usual suspects of course but I see renewed interest and media attention in countries that QAL had concerts. Also Max Martin and Tove Lo connection has brought some attention in Sweden for example; it was very quiet there with TP. In Finland there's radioplay and GT is on charts but less on tabloids than previously. This morning there's twitter buzz (flailing and confusion) about a visit to Finland on June 5 on YleX early in the morning - but Shosh says the details are not confirmed yet. To me it seems that a visit is in the promo plan but there's a lot of demand for Adam, logistics to consider etc. and in the end the visit might turn into a phone interview even though the radio channel is optimistic and expecting to get him here. A visit would be very welcome and it would generate press that's needed for better sales and charting position. Sure, small numbers as the country is small but a lot of prospective concert-goers as Adam is popular and well-known among the general public > worth a visit at some point. His fanbase who are aware of the album with or without extra promo guarantee him decent sales so I don't think the timing makes a lot of difference to us. I'm talking about a visit here, naturally some contact should be timed before the album comes out and a phone is ok for that. I hope he doesn't just jet here for a few hours but takes time to do other stations, press and tv when he comes. If his schedule is indeed packed right now it might be better to do more in Central Europe (The Netherlands and Germany in particular) and bring in the new fans. We'll still be here for the next single, too and a proper visit at that time will get the extra sales from casual fans; he might not chart as well but the overall sales would be there after all. We shall see what happens but it's exciting to think he'll be at least closer to us soon! YleX is the most prominent Finnish hit radio (very much like BBC Radio 1). You can check here if you can listen to it yle.fi/ylex/musiikki (top of page there's a pink 'play' symbol, also video from studio 'katso lähetystä')

Been largely absent due to real life but happy to see #GhostTown doing well and great to have an explanation of #moo which has become my favorite part of Another Lonely Night :-)

I saw promo on tv last night that the latest season of American Idol will finally be shown on Finnish tv starting June 6 on SubTV. Searching their site I found info that there'll be a double episode on saturdays and sundays. It's not clear if it means four episodes during the first weekend or first episode on saturday and second one on sunday. Checking the programming info it looks like there'll be four hours of AI but three episodes, the first one twice on saturday and two new ones on sunday with reruns monday thru wednesday. Saturday's two episodes have the same info text so it looks like a rerun but I wonder if it's originally a two-hour episode divided in two here. Confused? I am, lol. Saturday at 19.05 and at 23.20 (Keith's home town part 1) Sunday at 19.00 and at 20.00 (Keith's home town part 2 and Kansas) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 18.00 rerun of the three episodes The following saturday Bus auditions On sunday June 14 New York auditions with Adam at 19.00 and at 20.00 !!!! and rerun of Adam's episodes the following tuesday and wednesday at 18.00 !!!!
Good timing for album sales (earlier the channel was considering to air AI maybe in the autumn), also the channel has good audience numbers (much better than AVA that unfortunately aired Glee's Adam-season), time-slot is absolute prime time (although people are on vacation on their summer locations but many have electricity and tvs nowadays), at first glance no mega competition on other big channels at the same time-slot (however 'Vain elämää' rerun on sundays at 19.30 might affect a bit on the ratings because they have Finnish artists but it's a rerun anyway).

Aand Ghost Town was just played on YleX! PS A couple more Finns could sign in to their site and rate the song, too much low ratings to my liking j/s ETA Try to rate here and the pop-up gives instructions how to register etc. (in Finnish) yle.fi/ylex/musiikki/biisit/3-7944932Let's go and see if we can get the rating up!
