I just loved reading this interview while bingeing on Adam's album...especially the question about being overruled in "discussions". I can just imagine the give and take in deciding which songs made the cohesive regular album with the compromise of allowing Adam to go a little crazy with the bonus tracks. That said... I love the bonus tracks!!! 'These Boys' is such a fun listen AND a powerful anti-bullying empowerment song as well. The "listen to the radio and let it go" line reminds me of Adam's "force-field up" advice when dealing with bullies.

I know Adam is co-hosting ET Canada on Monday (June 22, 7:30 pm eastern) but has anything been announced yet for June 23-26? He will be on ChumFm radio in Toronto on Tuesday. His appearance could perhaps be pre-recorded on Monday but his ET Canada co-hosting duties will require a little more time than a mere interview/appearance would, so it's possible that he will do it live at some time on Tuesday morning.

San Diego EastCounty @sandiego_Alpine Adam Lambert discusses fame, Queen his San Diego music theater days & not compromising. goo.gl/fb/Pc6zRw #Alpine Adam Lambert talks music, fame and prideThe former San Diego singer and 'American Idol' aum discusses his new album, touring with Queen and being older and wiser at 33. By George Varga6 A.M.JUNE 21, 2015 Goodbye, glam-rock, guyliner, vocal pyrotechnics and glittery, over-the-top theatrics. Hello, musical maturity and comparative understatement. That may not have been Adam Lambert’s creative mantra, at least not in those exact words, when he was making his new album, “The Original High.” But the 11-song release, which came out Tuesday, is easily the most assured, sophisticated and carefully calibrated work so far by this Indiana-born, San Diego-bred vocal powerhouse. Or, as he declares in one of his new songs: "I'm a grown-ass man." Lambert, 33, reinforces his artistic reinvention with his impeccably crafted, less-is-more new songs and his straightforward album cover — a no-frills, black-and-white head shot, with stubble in place of makeup, and not a hint of glitter to be seen. “I think I had gone down the road of doing campier, theatrical kinds of ridiculous, thematic pop on my past couple of albums,” he said by phone from London, where he was on a promotional tour for “The Original High.” It’s his third solo album of new songs since rising to stardom, after his second-place finish on the 2009 edition of TV’s “American Idol.” “I wanted to steer it back into ‘realness,’ reality, authenticity and things that were universal concepts everybody could relate to,” he continued. “I just wanted to connect with the listeners in a real way.” But didn’t his two previous albums reflect Lambert’s musical reality at the time? “They were a conscious choice to go into that theatrical reality,” he replied. Lambert hasn’t abandoned his well-honed pop instincts or his penchant for dance-friendly beats. Nor has he suddenly adopted a stripped-down, solo acoustic approach, especially not with “The Original High” having being executive produced by Max Martin, whose most recent credits include bigger-than-life hit records by Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Maroon 5. Q3... Thank you so much for the wonderful GMA recap! The whole taxi/van debacle was pretty hilarious! But, this part made me cringe: " If you have been in a TV audience before, you know that before the show, they do a lot of schtick and make you cheer and clap a lot. For the GMA concert there was more than two hours of this, including practicing to do a “Happy Birthday Lara” sign thing that seemed to take 45 minutes of rehearsal..." TWO HOURS of this nonsense??? OMG. I bow down to all of you Atoppers who had to put up with this crap!! All the extra cheering was a lot of work! A LOT OF WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! < That's how my jaw felt after a short time

Thank you for sharing your art in your birthday greetings. I love your use of a stark background here, it really enhances the architecture of the flower and gives a different perspective on your beautiful relationship with lavender.
