After listening to the interview that ladymaserati8 posted above, another interview question I would be interested in:
Now that you are successful, do you find a lot of people asking you for advice, or passing you demo tapes?

Did I hear you say, "hey red panda, what is another old song you would like to hear Adam sing, one pertinent to how you feel about him?" ETA: and because it's my fantasy, he would be in a regulation tux. Or the black and white outfit he wore to sing Red House.
Well, here's one:
Yes, I am quite taken with Ella. Top 3 of my favorite female singers. I have a crush on her also.

WARNING: cassie goes into her linguistic teacher modeI recall something I read by Deborah Tannen, a linguist who specializes in conversation styles in different settings and by different genders. One point she made is that people often assume that the words they use have the same definitions as when others use the words. But, the semantics may be quite different. As an example, she said "lie" generally means something subtly different to men than to women. Both genders recognize it means telling an untruth, but men's definition also adds "with the intent to deceive or manipulate." For men, it is not a lie if it is simply a false statement. It is the INTENT that makes it a "lie." I think we are dealing with differences in semantics or underlying meaning in our discussion about Adam's statements about his hair color and make-up. (See how I connected that? psycholinguistics, semantics, gender differences, and Adam's hair. hahaha) If I said that Adam was "lying" about his hair being its natural color, I could just mean that he made a factually false statement. No attribution as to whether that was morally or ethically wrong or not. But, I could also mean that Adam made a false statement with the intent to deceive or manipulate others. The word "lie" would have a definite negative connotation. Here on this forum we have members of different genders, different orientations, different ages, different ethnic groups, different nationalities, different cultures and different languages. We manage amazingly well, considering, but there are times when feathers get ruffled and tempers fly due to communication misalignments, not actual intents. It is good to remember that, except for the occasional troll that sneaks in, everyone here loves Adam and holds him in very high regard. If we read a comment that seems to demonstrate something other than that, it would be wise to take several deep breaths, count to ten (or if necessary to 100), and reframe the comment with the assumption that it was coming from a place of love, but that the place may be culturally expressed in a different way from our own style. Class dismissed.
