This is a screenshot from the end of the video but in preview it's only coming up as a thumbnail and I don't know how to get it to normal size. Adam obviously was there for the photoshoot but it's so weird to see him turning slightly away from the group and doing his red carpet pose as though to slightly distance himself from them. A body language expert (which I'm not) would find it interesting, I'm sure! Edited to say, Woo hoo, learned something new. Clicking on the thumbnail brings it to full size! He was there for the photoshoot. They had the special guests pose like this. It was a weird stylist choice and makes it look like he was dropped in. And yes, I wasted a whole lot of time investigating this photo session -- like it was another Zapruder film.

I found this old QAL French review on twitter. I just grabbed parts to post since it is so long. I hadn't seen it. i met HIM!!!!! 17/7❤ retweeted HistoZic.fr @histozic Jul 21 View translation#Queen et Adam Lambert à Paris, un grand moment de cette année histozic.fr/2015/01/29/queen-adam-lambert-paris-2015/ …
"QUEEN + ADAM LAMBERT" - PARIS 2015
January 29, 2015• histozicfr
If the "real" Queen of fans agree that the group will never be the same, that without Freddie Mercury and without John Deacon, Queen is not really Queen, or the choice of Adam Lambert is more or less justified, is that a reason for not being present to see (probably) the last time the group with Brian May and Roger Taylor, two founding members of the group?
(I just chose some comments from the article to post because this was a long QAL review but very interesting and complimentary from a French reviewer.)
Adam Lambert To begin stands out as a stage animal, cabotinant at will and leaves no respite to the public quickly won but it was with "Stone Cold Crazy" that one takes measure of the event which becomes magical. (Note: We will see that the public knows may be more Adam Lambert as Queen)
The titles are linked: "Another ones bites the dust", then "Fat bottomed girls" and especially "Laps of the gods revisted / Seven Seas Of Rhye" are magnificent. Adam Lambert is a true showman. His singing and his theatrical performance fits perfectly with Queen universe. But we chills run through the body with the first chords of "Killer Queen." A royal seat was installed on the small stage at the pit and Adam Lambert settles. He is in his character and he made us a sparkling performance thanks to this staging. Adam Lambert will surprise us with a sublime "Somebody to Love". The band and the singer are on top. This is really a great show we are witnessing. Adam Lambert, who has once again changed dress, leaves with "Under pressure" (note: this tour on 82 and 86, confirming the choice very 80s), with a public always warmer for the more commercial titles . The singer runs everywhere, delirium largely with Brian May, and it's really a great level. Then the group gives us a great version of "Save me" before continuing on to "Who Wants To Live Forever". Adam Lambert comes on the small stage, just above him, a giant disco ball descends slowly and projecting lights across the zenith, he sings the title with ease and impressive voice (note: although very different from tessitura Freddie) is wonderful ... But Adam Lambert and Queen continue with "I want it all," what a slap! Part of the public is ecstatic but some must not know this piece (one more, yet the album The Miracle 89 and used in a commercial ... Ford). However, when the first chords of "Radio Gaga" begins (note: much more present in commercial radio), everybody is standing. I understand better, some were only waiting for this reason to get up, come howling from elsewhere are heard ... "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" connects and counting for members of the public who, for some have let go of their walkers . The concert comes to an end and "The Show Must Go On" splendid terrace us once again. Impressive, the public course is in unison. Then the group began the first notes of Bohemian Rhapsody, Adam Lambert sings on the first part and the second "to me" is Freddie takes over (note: One wonders why O :-)) and This is the clip that appears on the screens, the group taking the reins as the song ends. But it is downright magical and beautifully done. The group returned to the stage after a few minutes and it goes on to "We Will Rock You has" slammed the public in the hands and arms raised, unique moment! And they linked together on "We are the champions". Adam Lambert ended the show in a masterly way and unfortunately the last note ends. The group hardly leaves the scene of more than 2 hours after Zenith show, Brian May, turning constantly to say goodbye to the public. A beautiful concert, a masterful show because frankly, I do not expect to experience such emotion. I was very skeptical to see the band with Adam Lambert, but no, the magic works wonders and we want more. It's on Queen will never be Queen but what they have shown tonight will strongly resembled. It was really with a royal prince who will become king, Adam Lambert and Brian May in the Emperor riff!

Also a sucker for a husky voice. Thanks for posting that, frankie13. Went very well with my morning tea and some wonderings I had. Which brings me to a question. NOT hating on Tommy, but it always seemed to me that he was rather proud of never taking a guitar lesson. I play nothing, so have no technical understanding. Perhaps there is a school of thought that touts an organic approach. Or maybe playing without lessons produces a unique sound. But in most aspects of life, training is a vital part of the process, especially with something as creative as music, I would think. Lay the foundation, then lay your imagination on top of that. So I'm wondering if Tommy Joe (or any lesson-less guitar player) could produce and name the sounds that Martin Estrada does. (disclaimer: many old blues player, Appalachian players, Roma players never had lessons and did amazing things) I admit to being curious as to Adam's thought process on a new approach to his band. Wonder if it had anything to do with looks? Wonder if singing in front of world class musicians made a difference? Wonder if he can now afford invest more in a band? Wonder if he is not going to have a "permanent" band? But would pretty much have a permanent band for a tour? Q3 wrote: This made me chuckle. We do go to great investigative efforts where Adam is concerned, don't we? Here you are (in your male researcher disguise) doing your Zapruder-like testing:

And maybe his new management and/or label talked it over with Adam and they decided to approach his backup band this way now. Adam has said that the music business is a learning experience so maybe he is continuing to evolve and experiment with what works best for him. I like the band people Adam has used so far but I really don't notice them much...I'm too transfixed on AFL because it's been so long since we've seen him perform his own music solo.
