I am 99.9999% certain Adam has never been asked to be on SNL. Katy Why do you think that it hasn't happened? And if not guest host....as just the singing spot either? Regarding who the SNL producers book for musical artists -- my take is that SNL books three types of artists -- and mostly group 1. 1. Current very popular artists -- often who have a recent Top 5 hit: Katy Perry, OD, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Sam Smith, etc. 2. Classic artists with big followings -- U2, Mick Jagger, Prince (rare for them because they target 18-49 demo). 3. Cool indie style artists - Haim, Muse, Passion Pit, Lumineers, Vampire Weekend. This is the most mysterious group to me. Why did they decide to book Haim? Adam does not have a big enough hit to be in group #1 YET. And he is not a "cool indie artist". Q+AL could be booked as a classic act -- and Queen was on SNL on September 25, 1982. *** But I am absolutely sure that Adam would be on SNL if asked.

Adam said the album was also inspired by the dancetracks which are hits in Europe, so is this TOH loving thing maybe a bit european? and that is great news that they Coen & sander played GT! And just after the introduction! I read The Boys are back in town was the very first song (probably just after the news and commercials) but GT being played after the first talking of the DJ's is a huge honor! Did they say why they played GT? Or what did they say about it? and tooo bad i missed it. I was planning to listen to their first show, but i had the A Day At The RacesQueen cd on, and had it on repeat, so i totally forgot! (Listened to the album 3 times in a run ) The loving of GT and TOH most probably be European yes. It's Eurodance. Main land though. UK a bit less . The Boys are Back in Town was played right after the commercials yes. They didn't comment on GT sadly. Just played it, but it being played right after their intro gave it a huge amount of listeners I think. You can listen back on their site by the way: www.538.nl/programma/120/coen-en-sander/nieuws/2160/de-eerste-coen-en-sander-show-op-radio-538or: www.538.nl/gemist/26457/de-coen-en-sander-showTOH is my fav track on the album too! I have a feeling that ALN is probably a better global choice and the most sensible choice, but my vote for single #2 goes to TOH. **** ETA: Nice of Adam to IG an answer to my OP question. This is a clue that take no interpretation.

#TeamMoo for single number 2. I would happily live with #TOH and am pretty sure if it's not single 2 it will be single 3.

I fully trust Adam's team to make the best decision for the next single & I will support it as much as I can.
Now that that's out of the way...team TOH for the win, baby!!!! ALN is not in my top favourites from the album. And I just don't want another song about crying and angsting on the radio.
If it's ALN, then so be it. The label knows what it's doing. (But I love TOH soooooo much!)

Why do you think that it hasn't happened? And if not guest host....as just the singing spot either? This is probably just a rumor BUT I did read somewhere that Adam had been asked to be the host back in the early days of his career, right after the Rolling Stone article, but they were casting him in some skits that were all gay joke skits and he didn't want to do that. I sort of recall something like that too...but my memory is more that they were speaking hypothetically. IF he was ever asked he wasn't sure about doing it because of some of the offensive skits, jokes.

Is there anyone who could quickly post a summary of Adam's hits and their peak numbers for U.S. radio? I don't know if there is an easy place to find this. I have found the Billboard Hot 100. I'm just trying to see how GT is comparing with his other U.S. singles.
| Billboard Hot 100 | Radio | Whataya Want from Me | 10 |
| If I Had You | 30 |
| Better Than I Know Myself | 76 |
| Never Close Our Eyes | Didn't rate

"Ghost Town" is now Adam's second most successful song on pop radio. WWFM - #12 on Mainstream Top 40 (Pop), #10 on Adult Pop Radio (HAC) -- based on the Nielsen BDS charts. The Mediabase peaks are slightly different -- #13 on Pop Radio and #8 on HAC -- because the two companies use different panels of radio stations. I do not think GT will beat WWFM on radio BUT I think that a single from TOH will. I think ALN and TOH both have the potential to be Top 10 radio hits. I thought If I Had You was higher that GT. On Billboard, wasn't it 16 pop and 14 adult pop so I would have expected Mediabase to be in the same range. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_I_Had_You_(Adam_Lambert_song)
