Cassie, or anyone - on the basis that Stay With Me was a massive hit, why would TISI not have the same impact? Many artists release hit ballads, Adele is an example. What does everyone think? Not Cassie but ... TISI (which I love) is really not like anything on pop radio -- but not because of tempo because of the genre and composition. It is a bit of a throwback and similar (in genre/composition) to a Mariah Carey power ballad. It has nothing in common with blue-based ballads like the Sam Smith and Adele hits. Here are five reasons that TISI will never be released as a pop radio single. 1. No indication it has hit potential - TISI is a fan favorite -- but it is not a breakout track on TOH -- it is the #8 selling track on iTunes from the album. It is placed similarly on streaming media. Hard to imagine anyone picking a track that is not showing any sales potential as a radio single. 2. No genre fit with what is on pop radio -- There are ballads and there are ballads. "Stay With Me" is a mid-tempo R&B ballad -- similar to many hit radio ballads. "Rolling in the Deep" is another example of a mid-tempo, blue-based ballad. There are many mid-tempo, R&B ballads on pop radio. There are also a few piano-vocal ballad that have been radio hits -- here is a list -- www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/1556769/a-history-of-hit-piano-ballads-on-the-hot-1003. Acapella intro -- I cannot think of any pop hit from the past 20 years that started out accapella. They would have to re-produce it for the radio with a instrumental intro so that it would work in sequence with other music. Personally, I prefer to pass on this. It is perfect just as it is. 4. Strategic fit - Adam and WBR have been very effective at repositioning him as a current, relevant pop artist. They will pick singles that continue to position Adam at the leading edge of music -- like "Ghost Town" -- music that appeals to pop music listeners. TOH is loaded with tracks that fit this -- TISI is not one of them. 5. It is a traditional "big" ballad, nothing like this has been a big hit for over 10 years -- Adam described this as a "traditional big song". (These songs were big in the late 20th century.) **** TISI is like "Soaked" -- fan favorite album tracks that are great live. I think that is why it is on this album -- because Adam knows his fans love the big power ballads.

He has song lyrics on the brain the day before the music video shoots---has to be ALN. I like TOH a lot, but I think ALN is a better choice for radio. I agree, bullsfan. I really like BOTH songs but I think that ALN is more radio friendly.

While we're waiting for the news about single and video... The question is for relatively new fans (or old ones, if you remember): when you first started to be interested in Adam, did it occurre to you that he looks like a lot of people? For me, when I got home after the concert and started googling him, my impression was that he is like a blend of Ewan McGregor, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brendan Fraser, Will Smith, Azis and... my stepfather :D Now it's all okay, I don't see that ressemblance anymore because of amount of just Adam's face daily in my life) But was it similar with you , guys, or it's just me?)) ETA: and of course a liiiiiittle bit of Elvis) I first became interested in Adam during American Idol. I even remember his audition and I remember that I thought that Simon was acting like a jerk (So what's new?) because he was saying that Adam was too theatrical for Idol. I was very impressed by Adam's voice right away and thought that he had really good stage presence too. I voted for Adam in the finale over and over again and was so disappointed when he didn't win, but it wasn't until I saw him live on the Idol's tour, that I was totally enthralled with him. I had seen all of the previous tours but had never felt that way about a performer on the tour before. I just knew that this was someone really special.

Stay with me is nothing like TISI. SWM is soul/pop/gospel choir. TISI is more bombastic show tune. It could be a single, but not for #2! Maybe #5 or 6! my rather cynical take on TISI's chances with the US radio: Adele has a nice voice but it is more of a "country" sounding voice, no purity in it but rather huskiness... Rihanna 's SWM does not sound "big", mild safe soul sound... Sam Smith has the nasal-ness and wimpy falsetto - not even close to a trained "Broadway" sound. But Adam's voice and delivery on TISI is pure "Broadway" /show tune and US pop radio will dismiss it as such imo. I really can't see the pop market embracing TISI. Unfortunately. #teamTOH!

TISI is by far my favorite song on the album. Sometimes I just play it on repeat in my car because I just can't stop listening to it. I see no reason why TISI can't be released as a single. There have been many artists who have released ballads and had them be chart toppers. In addition to Sam Smith and Adele (mentioned by abriton), John Legend had a big hit with his beautiful ballad “All Of Me” and then Tiesto worked his EDM magic on “All Of Me” and transformed it into a soaring electro-house anthem which was also quite successful on the radio too. Addendum: If it wasn't for Adam, I must admit that I would never listen to pop radio so I might not be qualified as a pop music expert. I dislike about 70-80 percent of the music that's played on pop radio today and mostly just listen to classic rock radio stations or my CDs.

I wonder if this WILL be single #2 and if Adam will introduce it in Poland when he does the show there. IMO, stuff from the music video will leak and we will find out pretty soon what the new song is.
