What a nice story. Thank you for posting that. BTW, I was at Woodstock with my boyfriend too, although no one ever took our picture. Well, guess what! We were married too ~ just eight months later. We were together for almost 34 very happy years until his unfortunate death from cancer at age 57. He was my soulmate! Oh what a wonderful way to meet your DH and soulmate.....surrounded by wonderful music and happy people full of joy and love. Nothing better!! Sorry at your loss but so special that you were able to share 34 wonderful years together. Thanks for sharing your story.

OT but nice story. Anybody who remembers or was at Woodstock 1969 will remember the photo of the young couple here which became the photo of the festival! Link: www.goodnewsnetwork.org/the-couple-from-woodstock-lp-cover-is-still-married-4 Good News Network
The Couple From Woodstock LP Cover is Still Married 46 Years After ConcertBobbi And Nick Ercoline were girlfriend and boyfriend 46 years ago this weekend, when they decided to attend the Woodstock music festival being held on a farm in Bethel, New York. During a serene moment, a photographer captured their picture and it ended up as the cover art for the Soundtrack album to one of the most historic concerts of all time. With the festival’s anniversary this week, we wanted to report the good news that this couple is still together. They were married two years after Woodstock, and have two grown children. “I think the further we get from the original event the more meaningful it becomes, the more we realize how phenomenal it was: all those people coming together with no violence, just peace, love and sharing,” Bobbi told Seattle P-I in 2009. “Forty years later it’s just remarkable that it could have occurred.” What a nice story. Thank you for posting that. BTW, I was at Woodstock with my boyfriend too, although no one ever took our picture. Well, guess what! We were married too ~ just eight months later. We were together for almost 34 very happy years until his unfortunate death from cancer at age 57. He was my soulmate! This photo takes me back, too. Would have been at Woodstock with my boyfriend as well, but instead he was gone; drafted to fight in Vietnam. He finally made it home; and our 46th wedding anniversary will be in December. He is my soulmate, for sure; and I am sad to learn that yours is no longer right here. Thank you for your remembrance. I would love to hear more of your journey to Woodstock - it's history!

Nic42 and Crazyoldgal.....I love hearing stories like yours. Thanks for sharing them with us. I am still waiting to hear GT though a friend says she hears it a lot on the radio. Guess I'm a bad fan but I just can't listen to Top 40 radio.
The new thread is up.
