I guess the problem I have with him is when he let it be known he was the guy whistling in GT when Adam wasn't saying who did it and then he did his version of it somewhere right after GT was released to radio. He just seems a little opportunistic to me.

Yes, Adam is the one who brought the Sterling Fox songs to Max Martin and Shellback. I don't get the hostility about this tweet. The song is out. He has songwriting credit. Why not tweet out the original lyrics? I think that this is the second or third time he has done this. If I remember him saying he was going to put out his version of the song before TOH dropped. He just seems somehow to need to desperately claim GT as his song. And today just feels like "see, I have this paper and it proves it's mine". I find him a bit pathetic.

Sterling is not one of the Wolf Cousins, he is an independent and was/is someone known to Adam prior to the Sweden writing camps. Yes, Adam is the one who brought the Sterling Fox songs to Max Martin and Shellback. I don't get the hostility about this tweet. The song is out. He has songwriting credit. Why not tweet out the original lyrics? Because everything this guy has done has implied that he wrote the song and Adam put his name on it! 1st, he has the lyrics up on his Google page during the time that Adam is giving us one line at a time to tease. But he has the whole damn song up! 2nd, he did an interview about how he was inspired to write GT while driving back from Las Vegas one time! << Major magazine. It was either BB or RS! 3rd, Adam has only named him once, as the whistler, even though he's been asked many many times about the whistler. Sorry, but Adam says lots by what he doesn't say! 4th, he put his own version of GT on Spotify! How many song writers do that while the artist's single is out?! None, that I know of! My impression is that Fox has his nose bent out of shape over not getting enough credit for this song. And tries to undermine Adam's contributions every chance he gets! I have a right to not like him, just as much as anyone has the right to see "nothing wrong" with his actions.

This whole interview is great! thanks for bringing it over. Yes, thank you! Very interesting how even bands as highly regarded and popular as them are strong-armed by the radio stations. (Btw, I've officially turned into my mom. About time! I couldn't get it out of head to want to say to that other guy, "How old are you? Five? Get your feet off the furniture. And with the shoes too!" It seems to me this was a discussion topic re. Adam and this as well:) ). I dunno about that, I sure would let little cutie Taylor put his feet on my couch.... j/s

He just seems a little opportunistic to me. I didn't have a problem with Sterling Fox when he did that either, and don't see why anyone should! The song does primarily belong to Sterling Fox, as primary writer, even though Adam is the one singing the released version. Sterling should be very proud of the song - it's a great song. And it seems to be one that he particularly loves. As I remember, some Adam fans also had a problem with Pink when she sang WWFM at one of her concerts. And Adam's response was that Pink wrote the song and was entitled to sing it any time she wanted to (not in those exact words, but something to that effect).

What he did just push the wrong button for me.

We know how generous Adam is with giving credits and compliments, it's kind of surprising as well that he only mentioned this guy's name once in an interview.

PattiHum....I couldn't have said it better. I agree with all you said....especially what I highlighted. I have a right to not 'like him' right along with you.

I had no problem with Pink singing WWFM in concert. At that time WWFM was already a big hit when she sang it. It hadn't just come out.
