Mellimom, I think, that Japan is an not as hot a market as Adam and his mgmt. team would like, and it is what the promoter is willing to do to make some money. Adam is doing okay in Japan, and these concerts will keep his name in the spot-light. It's all good.
It could be conceivable by then that ALN will be a big hit, and these concerts does provide for some promotion in Japan. He is not stadium ready in his own career, but he is a stadium singer. We have witnessed the Adam Lambert effect.
I get really melancholy over the fact that there are less talented singers who have great success, looking at you Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry...but they have catered to a certain demograph with great success. It just goes to show, you can have the greatest voice with the most talent, yet major success is hiding somewhere. Not that Adam doesn't have the success, he does, but not superstardom which he deserves. IMHO.
To tell you the truth, while Adam was wonderful at Fusion, Capital better play him as payback. This was not the greatest exposure to the masses, in as much it was a radio event and there was weather issues.
If there is payoff for this event with radio play, then I'm happy for Adam. Otherwise what the hey. The volleyball event was by far, superior. . I don't want to always appear negative, but I am just giving my point of view realistically. Ghosttown is getting a lot of success and exposure...but I secretly wish it were more.

After watching that fiasco last night I was .. this is what's popular .. this is our music scene... In my heart I still think Adam needs that breakout song...I believe It's not the voice as much as the song that goes viral that makes one top of the heap... To me It's all about the song and people gravitating and identifying with it.'.What Do You Want From Me' IMHO is still the most popular Adam song.. something people really emotionally relate to'.Another Lonely Night' may be that new emotionally charged song... hope so

www.yahoo.com/music/nicki-minaj-makes-up-with-taylor-at-vmas-but-127995087406.htmlWow, what a lot of horse manure. Between Kanye's rantings, Nicki Minaj's disses you wonder what has happened to courtesy, manners and proper behavior. This wasn't staged for ratings, Miley was visibly upset and caught off-guard. Can you tell I totally dislike Minaj. Adam outshines them all in terms of honor, respect, character, kindness, and most of all not embarrassing himself, and feeling entitled. This generation sucks. The millenials suck!!!! I just want to say that Kanye West and Nicki Minaj are not representative of "millenials." Anyway, Kanye West is 38 years old -- Gen X, not a Millennial. **** I teach and work at a University and the "millenials" I see day after day are great. >> A request: Let's not get into a big conversation about "generations". If you want to post about the VMA's and can relate it to Adam, OK with me. But let's keep it on ADAM.

If it is top status in the pop world, I don't know that ultimately it will be that satisfying. The proof is in the pudding looking at the lives of those at the top. Obviously there are exceptions but taken as a group, not the ones I would want as my besties. If it is about being constantly acknowledged as an amazing talent and RESPECTED as a person, Adam, he has that. Getting into the very top by singing repetitive auto-tuned lyrics that are aimed at a target demographic, generating hits by a prurient audience for bad behavior etc. etc. wears thin and in the long run, there will be no lasting fame or glory. Adam will be iconic whether in this venue or another without compromising his inner and outer light. New avi If someone else really wants it, happy to go back to UNF

The MtV awards were Just plain tacky . IMHO ,the show started out OK then just fell into an abyss so Smokeyvera what's your take on Adam's small venues .. I'm so kafutzed.. although I would love to attend a couple of those 1500 ticket concerts. I haven't watched but i see in the press that Kaney West announced his presidential run in 2020! ..LOL! Did everyone cheer? As far as the venues - that's what they feel they can fill. May be in EU countries with higher sales they'll go for bigger venues. My main wish is for his US tour to happen, GNT size venues would be awesome!

I am certain that WB knew when they picked "Ghost Town" that the song would not resonate in Asia including Japan. They have an excellent strategy this time -- first and foremost focused on the US which is by far the most important market for Adam -- now more than ever. ALN seems likely to have a better fit with Asia. I have been to concerts of all three of these artists and I recommend you do some research about their fans. They have diverse fanbases. Adam's doing great -- and he would be no more successful if Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry did not exist. IMO the only definition of success that matters for Adam is his definition of success and he seems very happy with how things are going -- as he should feel. **** In a few weeks Adam will be fronting Queen at Rock in Rio. He will be releasing his second single which is all cued up waiting to go as soon as US Radio stops playing his current song. His Billboard magazine cover is impossible to find. I see no reason to be melancholy about Adam. ETA: Highlights of Fusion Festival will be broadcasts across the UK and Adam will be in the highlights -- probably one song. For an artist who is only modest known in the UK it was a great promo opportunity.

None at all. All we have to do if we go down that road is to look at the contrast between Trespassing era and TOH.
