I marvel at the memory singers and musicians have for performing without " notes". I woke up this am thinking about Adam refreshing the Queen lyrics in his brain, and prepping for the pending rehearsals. They are not his songs and they are so wordy. A question I would like to ask ...if ever the chance....is how he prepares for the concerts. Does he focus on a song or two when travelling, driving, or before going to bed at night?? Or does he just wait until the pressure ...is off ...from things like this promo, and then focus on just the Queen repertoire for a few days by himself, just before it is Queen rehearsal time? It is all coming up so quickly. (He is one busy boy!) I am also always amazed at how he can remember when he should say damn or f+#k during a performance. LOL, I've thought about that too! That could be a big "Whoops!" although I think most award shows in the US have a delay for that reason, and most of the talk shows are pre-recorded by at least some hours. Morning TV might be a different story.

OT, but the article does mention Ed Sheeran, so when I signed on to my yahoo mail, it told me that Ed and Nicole Scherzinger have split up. Really?! I didn't even know they were together...I mean, I just can't see it... wooooot? no way that's true))

Sigh.......got the message as well. (questioning where they wish to allocate resources) Sorry to say I have been questioning/reassessing my support for these... Kickstarter/Give Stars / support my initiatives "donations". Even though it is "kick around money" ..my heart is leading me to pump it into more personally connected people that are in need and my fav charities. Buying groceries for others, beats having 5 presumed gift cards sitting in my file box. I am disappointed in the delay, as well. Not sure I am going to do the requested tweet to list the name(s) of the stars we would like to get our cards from or have them recruit. Will probably continue to donate to projects Adam has specifically discussed or championed such as DonorsChoose for a local classroom project in my area, charity water, and Trevor Project. Charity Water just emailed their up date this morning, 7am! GLAAD had their update email out in late June. ( Edit: as I was writing this out GLAAD SENT OUT AN EMAIL at 9:34 am. So funny both charities back to back on the same day.) Talk about timing ...as I was thinking about Charity Water as I wrote out my thoughts for my post. It is my major charitiy of the "Adam initiated/brought to my attention" charities that I continue to support regularly. I think we all find charities that suit us, that provides a lift of spirit for myself or those that may need the help. I never got into Donors Choose as I thought I would prefer to be charitable in my own city with money or energy....Dream Centre and Women's Emergency Shelter. We do not have a fully organized program like Donors Choose here in Canada....but I think the premise of being so specific with gifting to the arts is what makes it so worthy. Good on you!

I In my experience having worked in theater and musical comedy, singing songs is the same as acting a monologue. The song is broken down into "beats" where each beat has an intention which supports the overall theme of the song. Adam, like most theater singers does this very well, which is why he 1. Sounds theatrical and 2. Always sings a song a little differently. Kind of like being in the moment. The best actors have flawless techniques doing this. Since every song has a different theme I would think he works on each of them. Remember when he said he had only 9 days rehearsal with Queen when he was first performing with them? That is not a lot of time to put all these elements in place, especially when the music is added. That is why I also think he will be a very good actor. He understands how to break down phrases, all he needs is practice and a good director. Sorry this is so long, I just find his work ethic so admirable. Agree with theosgma...very interesting to "understand" a learning process. One probably has to be adept with long term memory skills?? Prior to his 9 days with the rehearsals....would be keen to know how much time he needed to conquer the learning of the songs as once into working with the team....he would then have to be able to adapt to the way in which the band wanted the music to flow, the staging, the shortening of some songs etc. This is brain and body work...phew...lots of muscle memory too in theatre and performing.

Re learning the music, didn't he also say he had them in his iPhone/pod and listened to them over and over, when he was first learning the words, etc? I wonder now whether it would be helpful for him to listen to his own versions...or the originals...or some of both? That would be an interesting question for an interview!
