Congratulations to our Dutch friends! Although Lost Frequencies almost is Dutch because he's from Belgium (Flanders). So he speaks Dutch. Last year there were only Dutch artists so progress. Show starts at 7 pm by the way! Just booked my field ticket! Hope I can keep that up with my knee since that one isn't progressing as fast as it should be, but I'll manage. It survived a weekend of partying 2 months ago as well. So this should be a piece of cake! This by the way is also a nice test in how fast Adam sells! The news is spreading now and fans are buying tickets. I really hope it sells out fast for the future of Adam here in the Netherlands! If he manages to cause that I bet they will book him also for next year!

Congrats to all of you who are holding / buying tickets right now. So happy for you. Feel a bit bummed about Adam saying that he has only one talent (singing) and thinks he has so many things he is not good at. He says he is hard on himself, but I don't think he is even close to fair on himself. Can he ever switch somewhere into neutral, so he can see even a 10th of what we are seeing here? It would make him feel so much better about himself. It has to. He is so rich of talents and so good at many other things, and only bad at very few, why can he not see that about himself? He is like that girl that is 30 pounds underweight and still thinks she is too thick. Adam you are not only good at singing, you can act, you can dance, you can talk, you can think and feel really deeply, you can play and be goofy, you can make great pictures, and always look gorgeous in pictures, you have compassion, and a clear head on your shoulders, you have tons of friends and a rich career....why oh why do you have to be so unjustly hard on yourself. In this interview, they first played ALN, and then, after the interview that Weeknd song....and that song is alright, but do you know how much I was sitting here and thinking, that ALN sounds soooo much more interesting than that stupid song.... ***************************************************** Adam mentioned yesterday, that he liked this guy, at least the pirate version of him: A little more of this ....would be so much better for him. What I mean of course, is not that I want him to either look like this or be perceived like this, just that it would be good, if his own perception of himself would be a bit more positive and realistic, like the first pic, and that he would be able to not see the negatives so predominately, whether these negatives are talked up by the public, the media or even the fans, or whether they are only in his own head. I wish he could tune that stuff out more, and hear the choir of praises a bit more loudly instead.

Adam has a wealth of talents and skills. One of them is social intelligence. I'd put him in the genius range for that. In American culture, bragging on yourself is generally considered off-putting (unless you are an athlete or a rapper). We like our celebrities to be humble and approachable. In women's culture particularly, elevating yourself above others is a no-no, and the majority of Glamberts are women who love how down-to-earth and approachable Adam is.
I think Adam, with his social intelligence, knows this, at least on a sub-conscious level. He also values the same things in friends and celebrities he meets. I suspect that Adam could list the things he excels at pretty accurately, but that is something he keeps to himself. He probably also can list his shortcomings, but, chooses not to do that publicly, either.
It is safe for him to say he knows he can sing. That is his claim to fame, and to deny that would seem fake. It is also safe to list things like being late, disorganized, and not asking for help as "faults." None are character flaws or off-putting traits. It reminds me of job interviews where the candidate is asked their strengths and weaknesses. Advisors say be honest, but choose strengths that are valued by the employer and weaknesses that do not affect job performance or may actually enhance it (like being a perfectionist and working overtime to make sure the job is done right). To me, that was what Adam was doing, in a charming way.
The most interesting answer to me was when he was asked what he could not sing. The subtext to me was, "Nothing." Country and rap are two genres that are not in his wheelhouse because of who he is, not because of his vocal ability. (In another interview he said, "CAN sing, and WANT to sing are two different things.") He knows he can sing pop, rock, metal, blues, R&B, musical theater, jazz, American standards, ballads, torch songs, and opera...... because he has! And very successfully. It makes me happy that he KNOWS how good his singing is, because it augers well for him continuing to take care of his instrument and feature it.

I totally agree Cassie. We know Adam is a humble guy but I have no doubt he also has a great deal of confidence, not only in his singing but who he is as a person.
