Adam Lambert will never be the Freddie Mercury
By Daniel Bovolento 09/29/2015
The controversy of recent weeks is to compare the performances of artists, types of show, the production qualities and even the interaction with the public. On a Rock in Rio that brought little new and more artists who have been here in the past editions, what prevailed was a fan battle trying to defend your favorite artist to take the prize for Best Presentation, if it existed.
In the midst of it all, a situation caught my attention: the first night of the Festival, the Queen would return to the stage of the Rock in Rio this time without Freddie Mercury, responsible for one of the most iconic scenes of the festival in Brazil..
Instead of Fredddie, an "unknown singer the general public and come from a reality show try to take the place of the icon". Amazingly, what else heard before the show and during the week were the harsh public criticism Adam Lambert, whose career took off thanks to the discovery in American Idol and has been consistent for a long time. Adam is not a beginner in music and has appeared in TV series, has starred in hits in the major charts in the world, has done incredible artistic collaborations with P! Nk and other artists. So why the boy's talent doubt compared to Freddie?
The public in general has this habit of comparing incomparable artists. The weight is singing Whitney Houston, for example, is something that was set up culturally by showbiz for years, as if no rereading was good enough. On the one hand, I find it incredible that preservation of an artist's memory. It is undoubtedly a way to honor him. Moreover, we disparage the work of another artist. In the case of Lambert, he never tried to be Freddie Mercury since the tour began with the Queen. He makes clear the homage paid to the lead singer of Queen and takes shows your way, leading his irreverence to the stage.

Adam had been underestimated by the public even before the performance. Comparisons were being thrown to the air and it seemed like everyone there was discredited. Up the first night and the first song. The people accompanying the singer's work were already tired of knowing was public knowledge: Adam is no boy trying to do well, he has talent. And the show has succeeded with praise. And social networks filled with exclamations. And the older crowd of Queen proclaimed "Yes, he can sing." He not only sing but also knows how to show. And for those who do not know, the first hearing fo boy was marked by Bohemian Rhapsody. Who knew that a room of American Idol presenciaria the new developer's Queen a few years before the big premiere?
Adam Lambert never wanted to be Freddie Mercury, and maybe it will never be the same. Thanks to the creativity and musical talent, you and other artists can appropriate what has been done to give a new look. Adam is Adam, and who sings Whitney with ukelele is not intended to Whitney. The important thing about this is that these incredible artists have their place in the sun, without being overshadowed by a public trying to play shadows of artists passed over them.
