Celebrities in Paris @celebsinparis #INFO Les concerts sont annulés et les salles fermées jusqu'à nouvel ordre
I was very concerned about Adam traveling to Paris and performing there. Thanks for posting this! Perhaps Adam can use the time for a short rest. He certainly needs one! BTW, the Foo Fighters posted that they have cancelled their entire European tour, not just the date in Paris, out of respect for what happened in Paris. And, of course, the U2 concert that was supposed to take place in Paris today and be filmed for showing on HBO tonight, has been cancelled too. It's still on the HBO schedule but I'm sure that they'll replace it with something. I'm sorry, but canceling an entire tour out of "respect" for these events sounds a little disingenuous. I can understand concerts in Paris being canceled in the near term, probably a very smart move from a safety perspective, but for an entire tour of Europe to be canceled out of "respect" ...? Why not close all restaurants in Europe, or cancel all athletic events? No disrespect meant to Foo Fighters, but the cynic in me thinks the decision probably has more to do with the insurers of the tour. It seems cliché to say that we should continue on with life's activities to keep the bad guys from winning, but IMO we need to do that, carefully and within reason. to get this back to Adam - I expect it's true the festival show for next week has (wisely) been canceled. I sincerely hope his European tour next spring won't be affected! And now I guess I'll duck and run.

We have been through this before -- it is very hard to separate what should be cancelled for safety, what should be cancelled out of respect, and what needs to be cancelled because security resources in Paris, France across western Europe are stretched to the max. I am glad this week's concerts were cancelled but hopefully things will "normalize" soon. Regarding the Foo Fighters, I take them at their word. They only had 4 EU concerts left -- one in Turin tonight, two in France (Paris and Lyon), and one on the 19th in Barcelona, Spain. So cancellation had nothing to do with tour insurance.

This happened last Tuesday. It is a McAllen, TX station -- KVLY-FM. They added and are playing ALN and also added AOBTD (live). It might have been a mistake. But they are playing a ton of Adam Lambert music to promote MixMax on November 30, 2015. They have not played AOBTD in the past 7 days but they have played... It's still on the HBO schedule but I'm sure that they'll replace it with something. Both Saturday and Sunday U2 concerts have been cancelled by the Venue & French Authorities. HBO has said they will broadcast "The Jersey Boys" in the slot that would have been the U2 concert. Bono & HBO say they will do a broadcast at some point. I know that U2 will do everything possible to reschedule the Paris dates and they will play as soon as it can be rearranged. I listened to a radio interview with Bono on the Dave Fanning show on RTE and he said they were actually at the venue rehearsing when everything went down but they were never in any danger. The venue security as well as their own personal security locked everything down immediately and got the band back to their hotel and secured. Dave mentioned the that concert venue was not all that far from the Bataclan but Bono kind of brushed that off so I don't know if it wasn't really anywhere near or Bono was just minimizing. He tends to do that.
