It is one person. Getting a huge kick out of provoking the wrath and response of dozens or hundreds of other viewers. That's the whole point. Some kind of a demented power trip. Trolls like this often don't have a genuine philosophical point or agenda. They are not trying to convince others of their point of view. They may not even believe it themselves. It's all a game where they get a thrill from every indignant response they can provoke. The only way to win with these trolls is not to play their game. Not to engage. I look at the overwhelming positive outpouring of love, acceptance and support for Adam. It so outweighs the muck slinging. Where is the support for Gigi? She is the one being vilified not Adam. I'm afraid that Adam wasn't as clear as he could be in his comment. You can tell in the replies that some people know he is referring to the Gigi hate but too many think that he was being hated on and was upset about that. He's not a victim and doesn't act like a victim. He is a protector.

" Adam Lambert 6 hours ago When I visited the comments section here, I was so appalled at the vicious tone of many comments that I just wanted to shut it down. Instead, I want to ask for some peace, love and tolerance. Anyone who knows me, understands that that I want to unite rather than divide people, and that I am all about celebrating our differences." Reading the replies to Adam's comment seems that most people got it. Even the troll knew what he was referring to.

Ah, that probably explains the caption on this Instagram from Rufus's girlfriend which I didn't understand till now. Frank Stella the artist has an exhibition which recently opened in London so I guess that's where they'd been. https://instagram.com/p/-Tu_NbmYEN

That "Ma M" guy is seriously irritating. He/She has been commenting on EVERY single comment on both the GT and ALN music videos, and always has something negative to say. In fact, he/she only comments negatively. What a fucking douchebag. It is one person. Getting a huge kick out of provoking the wrath and response of dozens or hundreds of other viewers. That's the whole point. Some kind of a demented power trip. Trolls like this often don't have a genuine philosophical point or agenda. They are not trying to convince others of their point of view. Not to engage. I look at the overwhelming positive outpouring of love, acceptance and support for Adam. It so outweighs the muck slinging. Thanks, Cassie. That is exactly what I would have respond if I had stayed up later and if I wrote as elegantly as you. In addition, I applaud Adam taking a stand. On the other hand, what a win for the troll(s) to get the comment section shut down. I DO read comment sections regularly on videos and articles, and the ones for this video were mostly supportive. The negative comments were minimal (2 from the same person during the last few weeks) and a lot of people have learned not to respond to the trolls. Adam's video's/articles/etc. have been way more inflammatory in the past. I think the difference here is someone else was getting picked on instead of him--so he took action. Remember when Lyndsey Parker's Yahoo articles about Adam had the comment sections completely closed? That is the only real way to avoid horrible comments.

I don't know if you are looking for Gigi support from Cassie or from commenters. But there have been tons of comments in support of Gigi in the video--she has brought many of her fans to the video.

Are you not seeing any of Ma M's comments? That person has made horrible comments. Just look at the one posted in response to Adam's comment. Nasty and offensive. I have a better idea -- just ignore the trolls. ETA: Or even better -- ditto to what Cassie said. I know not to feed the trolls. I don't. I was specifically addressing Holst contention that the negative comments were "not that bad". I don't think the trolls should be addressed. But I do think the nasty comments should be down voted and reported and that is something that I have been bad about not doing. Dismissing things like that as "not that bad" is what leads to just letting things slide. To me it is especially nasty because that person is claiming to be an Adam fan. In places where down voting is possible I think we do need to start taking that action on a consistent basis so that it will be shown to be an unpopular opinion. That particular person was just the main one that I saw when I looked last night. I had seen others earlier on and now regret that I didn't down vote them. I generally don't read comments but I think when I do I should at least down vote nastiness and I am making a personal pledge to try to remember to do so from now on.

There needs to be not just a 'thumbs down' button but also a STUPID button.

I used to be naïve and I would respond to troll bait. But now I know better. Trolls want to rile things up in a negative way. That how they get their kicks. DON'T respond to them! If you post on a site, post something positive and act as if the troll comment isn't even there. They love the attention. They are juvenile idiots.
Give the ALN video all the hits you can. Leave a positive comment if you like, but DON'T respond to a troll comment. It only feeds the fire.

I think he was pretty clear.... Never said the troll wasn't smart, just ignorant. But a lot of posters are telling Adam to just ignore the comments or not let them get to him, that means they didn't get it. Yes, a lot of people did get it and I'm not seeing any hate comments toward pro-Gigi posters so many a little ambiguity isn't a bad thing.
