I so agree with this. BUT wanting to follow an artist who is massively popular is different than wanting an artist you care about to become massively popular. I want Adam to be popular and iconic not for me but for him -- because it is what he wants. And that is different. Adam originally caught me with his voice. I am am here now for the music, the voice -- all the rest is just a bonus. But I think the point of her tweet is that if his career never lives up to that perceived notion (what we think he wants/we want for him) there is no reason for disappointment or a disconnect because it's not what ultimately matters.

Too many fans are quick to pat themselves on the back for being 'good' fans and demonizing for any fan they perceive as holding different standards of fanning or behaving....it is so tiresome and only leads to a pile on of some kind and a bunch of side-taking. I have no idea the pleasure in that but it certainly isn't laudable, in any way. IMO

I have no idea the pleasure in that but it certainly isn't laudable, in any way. IMO The original tweet is referring to a group of people, on twitter, who constantly belittle what Adam does. Examples: GT was not a hit because it did not make Top 10 << their standard for success. The TOH Tour is not in big enough venues! If every show is not sold out, that equals failure. Not on the AMAS = failure. If he gets 10 radio adds, should have been 20! It is constant, and tiring. I myself have UFed many people in the past month because of it. These people appear to gave no joy in being a fan or even accepting that Adam is indeed very successful!
