lol, stardust, 2 pounds up and down is not yoyoing. I have to weigh myself mid-morning around 9 is best. If I get up and weigh at like 6am I'm always 2 pounds heavier. It could be my scale is sensitive to the sun's gravitational pull, that's my theory . So where am I? Going in circles. I'm having a hard time with the fasting but I'm doing fairly well on the cutting back. No loss this week but I'm staying under the weight that I'm watching so that's good. Just need to figure out another loss week. Part of the reason I'm going in circles is I've had a sick kid the whole, and I mean whole month. You'd think a teen wouldn't take that much watching over but he does. Anyway, cold to bronchitis, visit week 1 to the doc, bronchitis no better so assume pneumonia (this is after pneumonia last sprint too) and get antibiotics, visit week 2 to the doc, feeling better gets hit in the head 1st period on Monday, week 3 visit to the doctor, yep concussion, no bright lights or loud noises. Out of school for a week hopefully cleared to go back on week 4 after visit to the doc, again. I think he's losing weight and he doesn't need to. Crazy.

Ouch Jablea! That's a lot of stress in your life and it makes things harder. Hope your son is feeling better soon. He certainly has had a streak of bad luck!!

Jablea....So sorry you and your son have had such a bad time.....fingers crossed all will be well now. When your child (of any age) is sick it's hard to make anything else matter much.......
Love your gravitational pull theory. I weigh as late in the day as possible before I have to eat anything. Usually 10 am.
Had bad few weeks of worry which, miraculously, ended happily and just before Adam's UK concerts - so London & Manchester doubly happy time for me...
Then I got back to walking (per day - one hour alone and fast, one hour with dog) and my 2 day 500 cals...this morning I am down another 2.5 lbs.but that is since I last weighed about 22 March. So still averaging about 0.5 lbs a week.
So you are doing the 'fasting' days too.
This is what I did last week for my two consecutive days.
Breakfast ( as late in day as I can manage....10.30 ish....................large portion of strawberries and blueberries with tablespoon soya yoghurt sprinkled with cinnamon
Lunch. Half a Weightwatchers quiche (125 cals) Large salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, peppers) Spoon lightest mayo (18 cals) and spoon lightest French dressing (15 cals)
Evening. Bowl of home made vegetable broth and half slice bread Large orange cut up, with small spoon soya yoghurt and a chopped nut or two for texture.
MY TRICK.....a friend told me this and it's great. When I really need to nibble or crave something sweet, I keep a lollipop ( hard boiled candy on a stick) in cling film and I allow myself to suck it for a minute at a time.
Honestly, one 1-inch diameter lollipop last days! Yet gives me the same comfort and sugar rush as a handful of sweets. Calculation of above calories is a bit of guesswork but don't think it's far off the 500 I aim for.
On other days, eating sensibly but never 'deny' what I really really want.
I have a chocolate bar or a cream cake - but JUST ONE now......lol. Weight loss slow but steady....

Back down almost half a pound. But fluctuations are in a tighter range now. Last month was almost flat across the board for the trend line.

Congrats to everyone doing so well! I managed to struggle down 1/2 lb this week. Still not eating right, but better. Spending more time at the gym. Slow but better.

heh, I'll check in on time for once. No change. This week I'm paying my kid a dollar every time I cheat, he's getting rich. He's still having concussion symptoms so not in school yet but getting better. Seems like summer.

Stardust - I feel that I'm giving this all I've got and I still can't manage more than 1/2 lb a week..... It's painfully slow - but I just tell myself that it adds up to 26lbs over a year! Sometimes that helps and often it doesn't. Edit : Jablea Hope your son is back to school soon.
