When ALN was first released as a single I asked Q3 when was the best time to buy it as a single on itunes. She said when the song peaked on the charts which would probably be in January. It's going nowhere right now on the Pop charts but is still gaining spins on HAC. So... how about a team effort to buy the song on itunes/Amazon in the US on Adam's Birthday? It can't do any harm and might just give the song a little spike to get it to the Top 20 on HAC.

ETA: I originally typed: No need to click the link -- says it ended 20 minutes ago. YouTube should show up later. However, pi said the link worked for her. I checked and it DOES work, although I didn't get it to work when originally posted.

It probably is old, but I don't think he drops in on barbers in Los Angeles. It's a pic from July 2015 and it was in a barber shop in L.A., LOL! Here is the original IG post! https://www.instagram.com/p/4-xfrapMaF No i don't think it's in LA. In LA, he has his own long time hair dresser. I remember this one was during QAL tour in Europe. And Vic was from LA but i think he resides in one of the European country now, German, Paris or Netherland. Hence the 'Homie' comment.

It is not at the peak yet BUT don't start anything like this unless you think you can get people in the US to buy a LOT. And it will take a big number to show up anywhere -- like 10,000+ units. Unless ALN get a lot more radio and streaming, it is just spitting in the wind -- even if you could get fans to buy 10,000 copies. 10,000 units plus current airplay plus current streaming would get ALN up to about #200 on the US chart. And it could hurt if it get noticed and it fails. (And Adam and his fans are high profile and generate click.) **** Sales only matter IF it get onto the Billboard Hot 100 -- which is sales + radio + streaming -- or one of the other charts that has a sales component. It is not close to being on those charts. Other charts that matter for pop songs:Billboard Pop Songs, ranked by mainstream top 40 radio airplay detections as measured by Nielsen Music. (Top 40 radio only) Billboard Adult Pop, this week's most popular adult top 40 songs, ranked by adult pop airplay detections as measured by Nielsen Music. (HAC radio only) Mediabase radio airplay -- this is an industry measure and is only important within the radio industry and for the AT40 chart. *** Nothing about ALN and radio looks typical. It has a slew of US Top 40 adds but very little airplay. It has even higher station penetration on HAC and is moving up slowly. *** My question when people raise the idea of fan buying campaigns is what are you trying to accomplish? If the answer is that you want to see ALN on the chart, it almost certainly will not work. If the answer is that you want to do something wonderful for Adam's birthday, why not pick something that does some good vs.. handing Apple more money (they keep 65% of ever iTunes sale and they don't need it.) I will be the first person on board if the idea is to donate money for the people of Flint, MI (clean water) or for the UN Refuge Fund.
