Remember watching the Top 7 Group Song live - - - and ever since I've wondered why ANYONE would say that Adam can't dance with the best of them! He's better than best! He's always had body control that just slays me! His sense of balance, coupled with suppleness, self-awareness, and sense of proprioception (that's a nurse talking) is phenomenal - - - out of this world. Oh, and did I mention sexy? Me too! I would see comments on Adam videos, even from Adam fans who say he can't dance!!! Oh here is another video I saw in the early days that made me think, boy, he can dance. It's the Crazy performance in the red pants (swoon) but a version that shows more of his dance moves. I was struck by how good the moves were starting at 2:03. I believe it was Brooke who choreographed this. If Adam was practicing dancing as much as his pro friends do, could you imagine how good he could be? I mean his dancing has already improved by ten-fold just on this tour. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zntiwD10pcM

A total non sequitur but I would love to hear Adam sing "Over the Rainbow " (one of my favorite songs)

The lights go down. The audience screams. Modern electro pop starts to throb as the name "ADAM" is spelt out on the screens at the back, and the star of the show strikes his best pose on a podium in the centre of the stage. This is actually happening, of course, but one imagines this scenario has been going on inside Adam Lambert's head since long before he even auditioned for the 2009 season of American Idol. Three internationally successful studio albums and a (likeable) stint fronting Queen later, Lambert is still capable of some impressive vocal gymnastics and putting together his own slickly performed and rigorously choreographed pop extravaganza. That he seems to be on autopilot on this night is a touch disappointing. Even though he hits all his marks, his showmanship is subdued compared with that of, say, Robbie Williams or even Lambert's own with Queen. But the rest of the show provides an undeniably colourful and entertaining experience. There's plenty of angsty pop drama, with ventures Underground and beyond, not to mention a surprisingly early visit to Ghost Town. Then a taste of downbeat seduction (After Hours) and a nod back to the Idol days (the spooky Gary Jules version of Tears For Fears' Mad World). More songs from the current The Original High album are welded into medleys for maximum exposure, both before and during a second-half dance party that incorporates the expected tributes to David Bowie, via a sprightly Let's Dance, and Freddie Mercury, as Trespassing weaves into and out of Queen's Another One Bites the Dust. The band is as clinical and efficient as you'd expect from four session musicians and two singer-dancers backing a pop star successful enough to afford some talent, even if Lambert's crediting his musical director as being "on keys and laptops" is, while honest, a little wince-inducing. But then you get the feeling Lambert's openness is a big part of what makes him so popular. It's perhaps why his adoring audience feel they know him well enough to sweetly sing Happy Birthday to him, unprompted, for the previous day. And also perhaps why they'll forgive the faint whiff of hangover attached to a good pop show that could have been even better. Adam Lambert finishes the Australian leg of his Original High tour at the Enmore tonight, Sunday.
