My quick thoughts - - -
Nile's tweet to Adam about the 14th, I think, was a plea/request to have him a part of the Bowie tribute.
Adam has rehearsals, down time (much needed after such a great month of performances), the Rocky Horror cameo, and prep for a month of non-stop touring around the US . . . and other stuff I'm sure we know nothing about.
I choose to believe AFL may have 'declined' because he couldn't participate wholly in the Bowie tribute. And that's okay. If it can't be 110% it's not an option. Adam pays attention to his obligations - be it a private party, a rooftop radio show, or a concert in front of thousands. He places more value on performance than on audience. In my opinion, that is a mark of artistic excellence that fewer and fewer performers honor and respect.

Thank you, bamafan, for your journey recollections!! What a trip!! I hope, after you 'rest up' we'll see you again, flailing right along with us!

It must be very hard to balance priorities and obligations and although it would have been amazing, it must not have been able to happen logistically.

Guys, it's David Bowie!!. Bowie's Adam's idol since he was really young. I think Pattihum"e" or someone mentioned it before that IF Adam was asked to participate in David Bowie's tribute, he will do anything in his power (IMO, also including giving up his down time) to do it, to honor his Idol.
We can believe what we want to believe to make us feel good. Maybe we'll find out the truth about that twit from Nile soon, maybe not.
