www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Hpc3RWM-MII agree with everyone who is annoyed at people talking through Adam's singing...So rude! And it's not one quick exchange, they talk like nonstop, through all the videos... Why go to see his performance if you spend it talking with your friends???
It is rude, but unfortunately, not rare. I've been to my share of concerts, some pretty pricey, where some others around me paid little if any attention to the performer and just chatted among themselves with no regard for others around them. It's a little more acceptable (maybe) at those huge outdoor festival shows where everyone is kind of milling around anyway. But at this small, intimate performance, it was just plain rude. Performers get used to it, though, and they remain professional and do their best, just like Adam did.
It is not church or an opera. It is people enjoying a night out at a club. The event is for those that are actually there. They were having a good time, the ones listening raptly were having a good time, the ones singing along were having a good time, Adam was happy, the radio station was happy. Nothing wrong with any of that.

They come to expect it. Get used to it? Maybe. It doesn't bother them? Can't see that ever happening except to a performer who is totally burned out and just going thru the motions. Almost all performers perform, in large part, because they are, in Adam's words, "Attention whores." Perhaps not those in a large symphony orchestra or choir. But even in the chorus, Adam was discontented being "in the back." I know my sister has been performing for over 40 years, and it still bothers her if the audience is not paying attention to her. She DOES NOT like being background music. She love to interact with the customers. She absolutely lights up when she is performing. This is not a criticism of artists. Thank goodness they ARE driven to perform for an audience, or we might never see or hear much art at all. It doesn't mean they are egotistical or narcissistic. (Tho' there are some who are.) They can be humble, caring, generous and (relatively) "normal" off stage. I just wish that folks would use a little common sense and empathy, and if they want to socialize with friends, go somewhere with recorded music, not a live show.

MMMMMM. Yummy. No talking. Acoustic Adam. No backing or click tracks. No backing, doubled vocals. Just that incredible voice totally live. Heavenly!

I didn't read the original article - I'm time challenged these days - so I thought we knew there was a project but that we didn't know what it was ........ I hate when Real Life cuts into my Berting time Does anybody think that there is a possibility Lady Gaga would have "surprise" guests join her in the Bowie medley? In my dreams, Adam walks on stage and sing "Let's Dance" with her. You know, Loxie, I did hope for that when I initially heard that Gaga was performing the tribute, though I don't think it's very likely now...
