I am not getting to see TOHT so perhaps that's making me rather unsympathetic to the whining about VIP's getting up front. Given there's been VIP's on the other legs of the tour, they should have expected it. Be happy you are getting to see Adam live. It gets old constantly seeing tweets and comments that are generally pretty freaking selfish. Get over yourselves. I've not been up front, nor have I ever met Adam. That's life, I'm not going to whine about it. Frankly, my attitude is if it upsets you so much, then don't go to his shows. Thank you!! Been biting my tongue all day... Hey all. I had to log in just to agree with this. As someone else who is not fortunate enough to see any TOH shows (hell, I've only ever been to 1 Adam concert in the 7 years I've been a fan!) I really can't understand what all the complaining is about.

Cant afford that. Some ppl can't

Never liked Durban tho lol. He comes across arrogant. Voice not so much too. Sounds grating to me. This ain't YOUR no Adam. Just my pov. Difference with Adam and all post Freddie singers. Is Adams the only one who has found the balance. Of respecting Freddie. But putting his own spin. Hes merged two audiences. Old and New. But thats Adam ain't it. Hes built a careeer on bravery and being bold. The moment he said on idol I want to twist songs weve heard a million times, new. I will. I knew in 09 this kid was a rare gem. In a wasteland of zombies heh. If I was Adam fronting Queen to hundreds of thousands. I would prob crap my pants lol. But Adam just trusts it all. "But Adam just trusts it all."He does, doesn't he? It's awfully inspiring.

Trying to keep in mind that many Glamberts are Adam addicts, like me. I need my constant Adam fixes. I spend an embarrassing amount of time getting them. I see connections between Adam and so many other aspects of my daily experiences. I turn to Adam for comfort after rough days or upsetting situations. I escape into Adam's voice and engrossing performance style. I think I have a lot of company in my addiction.
But, like many addicts, I have built up a tolerance, and find I need more and more, or more intense experiences, new experiences, to try and achieve that original high of discovery. So, I understand folks who go to multiple concerts, often at great sacrifice. I understand folks who feel an overwhelming NEED to be near him, to be in the presence of his aura, who will raid their vacation and retirement funds for a 30 second photo op with him.
Because of other commitments and priorities in my real life (that I need to constantly remind myself of when I am immersed in Adam world) and because of limited financial resources, one concert is all I have been able to manage; and no VIP opportunities or photo ops. Still, I "get" the obsession others feel, and I can imagine their angst and frustration when they cannot get the full fix they are hoping for.

I have never seen Adam live in concert and because of circumstances I never will, but I sure eat up all his TV appearances and all the great recaps and gorgeous pics and amazing videos that are so generously shared here on Atop. So

I get the need for a "fix", I'm not thrilled that I had to miss this tour but I am not going to sit and whine about it to all. And Adam is like a drug, and there is never going to be a point where a stan is going to say they've had enough. I think when you aren't participating it becomes much more apparent the amount of whining that happens. There has been whining about lots of different parts of the tour, short sets vs long sets, which songs are not done, VIP's etc. And scroll is my friend so I've stayed away ALOT. I only read on the days that I have responsibilities here. It's just more pleasant to see fans happy with what we've gotten rather than complain about what hasn't happened. JMHO

I don't do the VIP or early entry options or front row stubhub seats, just regular seats or GA. Got to be mindful of the budget! But I have noticed the increase in VIP and early entry options in all sorts of places - amusement parks and water slides for example - not just concerts. And lets not forget new toll lanes on freeways, or needing to pay to join a fan club to have a better chance to get tickets.
Culturally I find it an interesting development. In music it is partially taking the place of income that used to come from sales. In general it is capitalism always discovering new ways to make a profit. It does divide people into haves and have-nots a bit, though, which is unfortunate. But I guess in a service economy, being able to pay more for a higher level of service should not be a surprise.

Hey everyone, wanted to let you know that I went to the Wichita show last night. i did have a photo with Adam and I asked him how he was feeling. He said much better and that he had gotten a lot of sleep. But I also wanted you all to know that, i have not watched any videos at all and so I did not know what to expect from the show. Adam put on one hell of a show as he always does. He sounded great. He didn't go for the high notes much if at all, so from that alone I knew he wasn't 100%. But boy if you didn't know him like we know him, you wouldn't have known that he's not at 100%. i really enjoyed the show, I had such a great time. I'm going to one more show, the last one in LA and I'm sure it's gonna be a very special show for him because it's in his hometown and it's the last TOH show for the US. I think it's gonna be great and I can't wait to go. Hope to see some of you there
