On a kind of unrelated note : (but it is about songs and studio) Sarver just tweeted that he is in the studio tracking his 1000th song. ::)Um, very prolific! Hmm, hope this isn't a case of lots of quantity with very little quality. Well, I was wondering that, is that the norm ? Or is he unusually prolific ? Or are all the sings somehow misses ? Should he focus on becoming a songwriter ?

I have a question about these recording sessions. Are there instrumentalists there too or is it just Adam singing and the instrumentation is added later? Sometimes there are live studio musicians, sometimes a instrumental track. But in both cases, instrumentation, backing tracks and beat tracks are added later.

Would Monte and gang be there if he is recording in LA? Does his record label pay for all this and then recovers the money later?

He is very prolific but Michael has been writing songs for over 10 years. Do you think he could make a living being a songwriter then ? Not sure how he is doing with his album sales, etc...

Q3 probably knows, but I will hazard a guess here and say that there would be studio musicians if he was recording rather than his touring band members ? : (I could be totally wrong)

Hmm, hope this isn't a case of lots of quantity with very little quality. Well, I was wondering that, is that the norm ? Or is he unusually prolific ? Or are all the sings somehow misses ? Should he focus on becoming a songwriter ? Good question. Some songwriters are incredibly prolific, some less so. I guess it depends how long it took him to wrote those 1,000 songs. But considering that he is still in his 20's, that seems like a lot of songs to me. Just as one point of comparison, according to Wikipedia, between 1962 and 1969, John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote 180 songs together. And most of them were pretty damn good. So, it does make me wonder whether Sarver is sacrificing quality for quantity. ETA: Of course, I haven't listened to his music, so it might be good, for all I know. You're right though -- if his singing career doesn't pan out, maybe he should focus on songwriting. A few of the other ex-idols have done this with some success.

To paraphrase (I'm taking liberties here) ~ KTVU News has just announced that SF Gay Pride will be "off the hook" More people expected than the # of SF residents! A boon to SF & Bay Area communities! FUN, FUN, FUN! Wow - I usually watch the Parade on TV - then take BART over for the after festivities! The concerts are the most fun + with so many people there - you can't get close enough to the street to actually see the parade (unless you get there at 5am! (not doing that! ) Linda Perry - Sandra Bernhard are only 2 of many who are appearing on the Main Stage
