With all the welcomes -- I don't think that anyone answered your questions. So here is my take -- compared to 2014 North American Tour, the ticket prices are much higher, there is far less promotion, and ticket sales are still close to or ahead of 2014. >> My bet is almost all dates will be over 80% sold. >> The venues on this tour are all top tier venues. No small venues (like 2014's Hard Rock The Joint in Vegas) or second tier venues like Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall. >> Fewer venues in Canada. We never got official sales on these in 2014, but these were not great for sales. Both the Hollywood Bowl concerts will be close to sold out. Arizona is ahead of 2014 right now but still has a lot of expensive tix available. Note: If anyone wants a great ticket in Phoenix - 2 tix in Row 2 with no one in front are $395. Seattle, which was never a good market for Queen and was not on the 2014 tour, is deeply sold. I bet there are a lot of Canadian's going to that one but it is still a pleasant surprise. Omaha and KC - looked like they should not have done both cities when schedule was announced - they have lowered some of the tix prices in both cities. But still not cheap. How does it compare to other tours? It is one of the top 10 Summer 2017 Tours. Not as hot as Bruno Mars or Lady Gaga but hotter than ever other classic act I have looked at. Thanks Q3, I really appreciate the info. I hadn't thought to consider the larger venues. I'm glad you think both Hollywood Bowls concerts will be close to sold, I was surprised to see the second one still had so many seats, but I guess there's still plenty of time. There is tons of time. And they have already sold more tix in LA than they did in 2014 -- and a much higher prices. HB is the highest priced concert of the tour. They sold out one LA concert in 2014 - LA Forum 12,613 / 12,613 (100% sold) $1,218,231 gross tix (excludes VIP upgrades, Platinum tix upgrades, etc.) The Hollywood Bowl hold 17,500 that is 35,000 seats for two shows. Even if they don't sell any more tix here, this will be a hugely profitable tour stop.

OTOT Since it is slow and Matt was discussed this week....
There was a color ad for ticket sales in the local paper this week with individual small photos for an event happening here today called 'Symphony Idol'. It is at the Intermediate High School and features the Butler Co. Symphony Orchestra performing popular music sung by "TV sensations Haley Scarnato, LaKisha Jones and Matt Giraud from Fox's 'American Idol."
I have no idea is this is a one of performance or if these 3 are doing a little 'tour' with different orchestras around the country.

I've been keeping an eye on QAL ticket sales and while Hollywood Bowl #1 and Toronto look nearly sold out, there's still a lot of room left at some other venues. Do you think the venues will end up sold out closer to the tour dates? Am I worrying over nothing? How does this compare to 2014 or other artists? Also hi there, Atop folks. I've been lurking here for months but made a profile now that I had a question. Thanks for making this forum such an enjoyable place. I wish Adam had come into my life sooner, but I'm unspeakably grateful he's in it now. pineapple.
