Yup. He is singing the whole time, and I don't hear Freddie at all. I like the change!

TRANSLATION: REVIEW ~ Queen + Adam Lambert in Lodz: There is only one Queen "I am very lucky and I have been honored for 5 years with Queen," Adam Lambert, who for first time alongside Brian May (guitar) and Roger Taylor (drums), was at the Atlas Arena in Lodz in 2009. and the honor of watching the Queen + Adam Lambert band for the fourth time in five years.
After the Stadium in Wrocław (July 2012), Arena in Kraków (February 2015) and the performance at Life Festival Oświęcim (June 2016), it was time for a concert in central Poland. Monday (November 6) evening at Atlas Arena in Lodz was the fourth in the autumn of Europe.
On previous visits, we could see that Adam Lambert was not going to go into the shoes of Freddie Mercury, who had died since 1991, at every turn emphasizing that she loves Queen as much as his fans do. For some time, however, he has caught the distance, which we had an example in Lodz. "He's not Freddie!" "He called out some of the complaints. "Well, no, he was the only one!" he said.
This year's tour is associated with the 40th anniversary of the release of "News of the World," which has been featured in the history of music through two huge hits that conclude concerts: "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions." Musicians have announced changes to the setlist (as a default for more recordings from this album), as well as a large dose of special effects ("unique pyrotechnic effects") and "delightful" scenography.
As for the changes in the repertoire, these were a bit of an uptick - there was no "One Vision," "Play the Game," "Seven Seas of Rhye," and "A Kind of Magic" in comparison to Auschwitz. Instead, Bicycle Race "," I'm in Love with My Car "(sung by the author, Roger Taylor's drummer)," Get Down, Make Love "(the third song from" News of the World ") and" Whataya Want from Me " , a solo hit by Adam Lambert's debut "For Your Entertainment" (2009). But how to give up such hits as "Another One Bites the Dust", "Do not Stop Me Now", "I Want It All", "Somebody to Love", "Who Want to Break Free", "Who Wants to Live Forever "? And then there are a few titles from the shore.
More attractions the musicians have prepared for the production - the scene was shaped like Brian May guitar, and her "griffin" was a 30-meter runway for musicians walking through the middle of the hall. Impressive was the visuals based on the cover of "News of the World" (a robot slamming the wall before the concert), light effects with a series of mirror elements, or wandering up the platform on which the guitar solo played Brian May.
The mentioned robot ("welcome Frank" - Lambert shouted) appeared in the form of a head on which the singer was sitting during "Killer Queen". Lambert also changed several times (including a pink suit and high heels, or a silver turtleneck with a crown on his head during the finale), leaving his colleagues on the stage (Spike Edney, bassist Nail Fairclough and new drummer Tyler appeared at the side of the leaders. Warren, who replaced Rufus Tigor Taylor, son of Roger Taylor). Everything was up to the last element - well, the Queen is only one.
There were also fans who prepared some attractions - in Bicycle Race, the hall filled with ringing bells (some brought real bells, others used the phone applications), and at the "Love of My Life", Atlas Arena lit up with smartphones. During the song "Bicycle Race" Lambert jumped on a pink bike with a small trailer - and without interrupting the singing - he made a round by the stage.
In turn, "Love of My Life" is a moment of magic. On the stage was Brian May alone with a guitar, vocal support of several thousand people, and - from the led screen - the memorable Freddie Mercury. "It's beautiful," said May's 70-year-old, recalling a few decades ago. Certainly the text "it was the most beautiful version" and the gesture of rubbing the damp eye appears on every concert, but I believe that it was true emotions. He works every time, and Freddie's shot from the stage catches his throat.
A bow to the younger fans was the hit "Whataya Want from Me". At the first bar, there was a scream of mostly teenage girls who probably appeared to their parents. In my near-average middle-aged fans singing almost every word of this song oscillated around 17-18 years. And it shows that Queen got into the time machine, which allowed to move the hits from a few decades ago into present times. Not only are the "fat bottomed girls" making the rock-and-roll world still spinning.
Set List "We Will Rock You" (teaser) "Hammer to Fall" "Stone Cold Crazy" "Tie Your Mother Down" "Another One Bites the Dust" "Fat Bottomed Girls" "Killer Queen" "Bicycle Race" "I'm in Love with My Car" (Roger Taylor) "Get Down, Make Love" "I Want It All" "Love of My Life" (Brian May + Freddie Mercury) "Somebody to Love" "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" perkusyjny pojedynek Roger Taylor vs. Tyler Warren "Under Pressure" "I Want to Break Free" "Whataya Want From Me" "Who Wants to Live Forever" "Lost Horizon" (+ solo gitarowe Briana Maya) "Radio Ga Ga" "Bohemian Rhapsody" Bis: "We Will Rock You" "We Are the Champions"
