Would love a translation! Anybody out there who can do it? Sounds like they liked the show! (I hope!). Those videos were made BEFORE the concert, based on info from the previous concerts on this tour, and the previous concerts of Queen and QAL in Vienna over the years. The same music expert they invited was in the studio in previous years (I remember seeing him in videos, even had to check if this video was from this year because it felt like a Deja Vu). He is totally on board with the QAL thing. Austria, like Munich, has a long and strong connection with Queen, so the general consensus in these videos is that this is going to be the biggest rock show of the year. We also learned when they landed, and which hotels they preferred (Brian in Sacher, Roger and Adam in Park Hyatt) Btw, most of Queen's 80s videos were directed by two Austrians - Rudi Dolezal & Hannes Rossacher - DoRo. So there was even a long-standing business connection that was not mentioned in these reports. If nobody finds the time to translate them in the coming hours, I might try tonight after work...

Is it just my imagination, but is there a lot less of "he's no Freddie" in reviews (or pre-show "reviews") than during he earlier tours? Seems to be a lot more of the opinion that he's right for the job, that he's helping keep the music alive. Yay! LOL!!! I think you read my mind. I was feeling the same way. It has been so much more enjoyable to take in what Queen and Adam are doing and the level of performance it takes to put on this show (today and in this time) without the nonsense. It takes nothing away from the greatness they achieved in the past to acknowledge all the joy and beautiful vocal and performance and style of Adam. I've noticed the same thing. It seems like the consensus among reviewers is that Adam is really great in his own right but that fact does not threaten Freddie's legacy or memory at all. I think Adam's little "we all love Freddie" speech has helped in this regard. I know we've said that maybe Adam doesn't need to do it anymore, but for concert-goers who only see one show, it means a lot to hear Adam pay homage to Freddie and to hear him say he loves him as much as all Freddie's fans do. And the reviewers have gotten that message, too. Adam is Adam. And he's great just being Adam.

Would love a translation! Anybody out there who can do it? Sounds like they liked the show! (I hope!). Short summaries: 1. Video: - recorded before the show, Queen already laded after the Łódź-concert - Queen-expert says: Queen loves Austria, had big success there with Freddie, outselling the venue 8 times. Now they can do it again with Adam -great show- Adam can also act, because it’s not only a concert, but a spectacular show, as Queen always did it. All positiv! 2.video: taken on the evening of the concert. Biggest rock show of the year in Vienna is about to start -describing parts of the coming concert with vids from gigs before , talking about robot, bike on stage (called it a „stunt“🤣)— how Freddie is 3 times involved. - they had been in Vienna for 3 days -Brian stayed in the „Sacher-Hotel“, the rest of the band in Park Hyatt. All in all positiv as the concert of the year. I have to sleep now, but that’s mostly it.

Would love a translation! Anybody out there who can do it? Sounds like they liked the show! (I hope!). I just noticed that nightowl has already posted a translation, but as I had already worked on mine I might post as well. I remember viewing the video on top quite a while ago, may be around the time when the European tour was announced. Still, highly complimentary of Adam. The guy interviewed is a music expert in Austria and he says that thanks to Adam Lambert Queen is in a position to play at Wiener Stadthalle again, after several concerts there in the 80s with Freddie. The lady states that it must not be an easy task to fill Freddie's shoes and the guy responds that well, may be that's why Adam is wearing such high heels. (I hope I picked that up right). All in good humor. He says that Adam Lambert is doing a great job and that he's quite clever at it. Mentions Adam's acting experiences which come in handy for the type of show they are putting on - a concert that is more like a spectacle, like in the old days. He mentions Adam's bike ride across the stage and his Killer Queen performance on top of a robot. There is also a bit of talk about an Austrian artist toward the end. The video below is more self explanatory... but here we go... Queen and Adam Lambert are considered the most spectacular rock event of the year and 13,000 fans from near and far have traveled to Vienna to not miss the bombastic concert that includes a light show, a robot, a confetti shower, and a bicycle stunt. Furthermore, 26 years after Freddie's passing he'll come back to life three times via video screen, including Bohemian Rhapsody where he will sing a duet with Adam (hmm...). Talk about Brian's guitar solo on top of the robot's hand and the "Donauwalzer" (Danube waltz) that he will play as usual (well, that didn't happen). Mention of Queen's special relationship with Vienna (I think I picked up it is the 11th sold out Konzert in Vienna) and thus more than just a quick tour stop for Queen - highlighted by early arrival on Tuesday via private jet from Lodz, Brian May's extended sightseeing tour, and a three day stay in Vienna. Mention that Brian is staying at Hotel Sacher while Adam and Roger are at the Hyatt. Less talk about Adam in this video and more about Queen and Brian in particular. (the second video appears like a pretty sensationalized coverage but may be it is more the Austrian way. I am German and less fluffy haha. I was surprised that they disclosed where Brian, Adam, and Roger were staying)
