I have thought this for a while. IS duplicating the photo three times neccessary? Sorry but their seems consistent duplicating photos. i don't think duplicating this photo three times is neccesssary. No offense intended. Its just annoying Are you talking to me? I posted the above pic once. I am assuming your speaking about the Neil post I did after this post? First is me giving credit to the person where I got the information. Second is giving credit for the instagram this person used in their tweet. Third is a pic that one can save if they would like one. I thought that was the procedure followed here. Sorry to be annoying. I appreciate it when posters include a clean, non instagram pic that I can save. Keep it up!

I love that pic that I can DL and save, which is not usually possible with just the IG pic.

In all fairness, I don't think there's an issue when Instagram pics are posted in that manner once; it just becomes a bit "much" when someone else separately posts the same Instagram pic in the same way, or someone quotes the post so the photos all get posted again (and sometimes again...and again). It wouldn't hurt to pay attention to possible needless repetition when it comes to Instagram photos, IMO. Save

I also want to thank adamrocks and skaschep and the others who are kind enough to take the extra time to post photos in a way that those of us who like to save them can. With regular Instagram photos, this isn't possible...at least for me. So thank you to everyone!

SaveI think what you are referring to, and maybe it is actually what K2U meant also, but it's the quoting over and over and over again of a particular post. Or sometimes, even any post that is already very long to begin with. I agree that it can get repetitious, but I really don't think, in the grand scheme of things, it is that big a problem to get upset about.

I'm not upset, and I don't think I was making a big deal out of it, but I thought one of Q3's board guidelines was to avoid repetition. Seems to me that just giving a thought to how often a photo was already posted, before posting it yet again, wouldn't be a bad thing - especially on days when the board is more active. Save

Sorry, Cleopatra, I was not referring to you about being upset. I was referring to the original poster, 3ku.

I think that everyone has gotten used to the two picture posts. One for the original inside of social media and then one that is just the pic. The three pictures for one post seems to be new for this tour and seems to be 1st pic is from the collector that posts on twitter (important job that helps find things) the 2nd pic is of the orig inside of social media which often has the originators words to describe the pic and then the 3rd pic is the savable one. I know that it's all there to recognize everyone's effort because it does take a team to find and bring over everything for our visual enjoyment. Perhaps the first pic could be eliminated with a "thanks to....." line bringing it back down to two pics but then that also might take more time on our nice members who are bringing it over and that wouldn't be great. I do agree, and did so in my most recent reply, that eliminating extra copies (I just kept the orig) while replying is nice for those of us skimming.

Every once in awhile the instagram photo isn't posted in a way that makes saving it possible and when that happens I'm disappointed. We're spoiled here on Adamtopia in the most wonderful way. Thank you to everyone who contribute here.

OF course I Appreciate the effort put into posting. That was not my point. I was just saying the repetitive nature of IG posts. Seems constant duplication of every IG posts. I understand some pics of Adam. Just gets a bit jarring. OF course its not up to me to tell anyone how to post. Its just a thought that is all.
