Annadoresadam, thank you for your lovely detailed review, hope you enjoy the rest of your shows, hopefully with better sound. Thanks very much to you and others who've commented, it's a nice feeling. You know, reading that fabulous review that Bama posted above, I think the fact that I will have watched more videos than any of the reviewers (who most likely haven't even watched any!) means that I know what the sound CAN be like. Out of this world good. If I'd never heard any different I wouldn't have such high expectations and after the first couple of tracks where Adam was really drowned out by the band, I'd have thought it was great. I'm certain I'll have at least one out of this world show though so it's all good. I just feel blessed that I have such a choice of gigs to go to with the furthest one being 250 miles away. I know most of the US die-hards here would've been going to all UK shows in my privileged position!

AnnAdoresAdam . Thank you so much! Loved reading your recap....I have been working at my computer screen all day without moving so your experience was my escapism break! So glad your friends enjoyed it...and whatever else, the sight of Adam does help when the sound isn't good. When I saw QAL in Newcastle in 2015, the sound was horrendous. I sat in a front row seat as close to the stage as side seats get and Adam sang 'Save Me' a few yards away - i could almost touch him and I couldn't hear a word. Nothing. I nearly cried. Momtomany and I were travelling together and she had a standing ticket on the opposite side to me - but she had exactly the same problem. (Then went on to Glasgow which was fabulous - Glasgow tonight! And our Eurobrats are there!) You just can't tell how the arena will play out. You were unlucky but.... Won"t happen again.....won't happen again.... and as for not being near the barrier...., I was in the second row at the barrier for both Liverpool and Birmingham this week (even tho late for both). Great sound at both but Birmingham was the best ever. Adam's voice was magnificent. (And I so nearly missed it.... i wasn't going to Birmingham because I had been let down and had no one to look after my dear old dad overnight. That suddenly changed at the last minute and I just ran...in my second-day sweater....no lipstick...didn't even stop to brush my hair or pack anything. Got the last train possible (two hour journey) and ran to the arena....about 7.20 I think. Again spotted a little gap and asked politely if anyone would mind me wriggling through. They were so nice! As I stood there I realised I'd had nothing to eat or drink for many hours but nothing mattered....suddenly a moment of unexpected joy....all alone with 14,000 others). Got hotel, slept in clothes (my third-day sweater!)and home on first train next morning... i wish everyone those moments....with a shower perhaps....Ann - the next 'moment' will be yours. And may your Depends never let you down

DancyGeorgia . So very sorry to hear your news. Sad for you that you will miss half your shows but fingers crossed that you will be fit and well for the later ones. Hope your tickets find good homes.

AnnAdoresAdam I forgot you are doing the 2nd Birmingham show.....fabulous sound! Indeed! I think we established early on that our dates weren't going to coincide this time round so I'm sorry I won't get to see you again. And thanks for sharing YOUR experiences, both recent and from 2015. A relief in a way to learn that the sound was even worse back then.

being in Adam’s presence is so transfixing that being overwhelmed by the beauty of his vocals on top of his physical proximity might have been too much for me to process. I love long and detailed recaps! Thanks so much for taking the time, AnnAdoresAdam!
