Austin City Limits Music Festival and South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin would also be great for Adam. Tons of people with built in promotion... It has never made any sense to me that his management didn’t have Adam out doing these festivals. It just seems like a no brainer, especially early on, way to have gotten him exposed to a wider, younger audience than the Idol clique. especially something like LoveLoud which is literally a LGBTQ+ music festival

But isn’t that the point? The labels want the artists to stay. They are their money. So they make longterm contracts, where it’s hard to get out. Most artists barely have the chance to say no. What else could they do, if they want a career in that business? So they are caught in these contracts and can only hope, that everything works out fine. If not... they risk to be forgotten. Many never get a chance of a new label anyway. It’s a shitty business. Yes. It is the point but on the other side, what happens if the existing management doesn’t want their client as the artist hasn’t performed to their expectations. In other words. No sales, songs underperforming. I wish there was a clause in said case, the artist has the option to opt out I’m sure the existing management would be glad. As they have no intent in promoting that said artist. Oh well I’m just impatient having to wait another year. I want new music now. Queen is great but his music would be better imo I‘m not sure, what happens, when the artist underperforms. I guess, the label tries to find a way to make money, for instance by asking for a cover album. 😉 If a contract runs out, the artist should be free to do, what he wants??? I don‘t believe, that Adam underperformed in a way, that Warner wanted to get rid of him. I think there were creative differences. None of Adam singles or releases after Ghost Town were really successful though. „Two Fuxx“ is not really a song every label would put out. He had Max Martin as executive producer for his last album and another song from Max‘s writers‘ group with „Welcome to the Show“. Max must have been expensive for the label. But although Max is absolutely successful with most artist, it didn’t work for Adam. So another plan was needed. At this point (end of 2016?) I believe, that Warner wasn’t ready to pay for another album with Max (Adam had said, he would be working with him again until then). There had only been plans for an EP from there on. Whatever Warner was planning with Adam, he seems to have opted out, when he saw a chance. Possibly after the head of the label had changed. We will probably never know. I only hope, that Adam finds/found a new „home“, that gives him artistic freedom, good guidance and most of all great support. .

Dancy, Day 6, on desktop with Sennheiser earbuds:
MP3 My preference is B, next is A, lastly C (echoey).
FLAC Preference is A, followed closely by B, lastly C (again too echoey).

Austin City Limits Music Festival and South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin would also be great for Adam. Tons of people with built in promotion... Don't know why. Maybe he was in Europe or performing in China or something. He does need more US exposure. Tho, Haley Reinhart did Lollapalooza and Kris Allen did SXSW (two or three times) and it did not seem to help either that much. In addition to those, I would love to see Adam get Iheart Festival in his own name and Coachella with QAL or in his own name. Both seem to be multiple genre with a non-niche audience and with great exposure. He could use more widespread recognition and opportunities in the US.

Totally OT, but a very Happy Birthday to my favorite president...miss him so much.
We need a cake for him, Betty!
As for Adam, wouldn't it be awesome if he wrote a book about his adventures with the music business? I'd love to know some of the stuff that happens behind the scenes, especially with RCA.

Yeah I don't think you can say Adam underperformed with WBR. And that is why he left them. GT has amassed over 250 mill streams. It was a Top 10 Pop US Hit. Problem was the follow up. WBR failed to captilize on the momentum.
Need more music like GT from Adam imo. IT just happens when you switch management and label. IT takes time to release music. Its all logistics. I expect music at least end of year. And Album next year.
