Super slow day. So here is an interesting article about the history of daypacks developed for school books. I can't remember my first dayback, but my favorite now is the Osprey Nova with shoulder straps designed for women. @npr: The JanSport Ski and Hike daypack — released in 1969 — was intended for outdoor use. The backpack sold at outdoor shops, one of which was connected to the University of Washington bookstore. Students bought the pack to shield their books from the rain. n.pr/2OzfloS

@pink: Rolling stone did an article tonight on concerts, and how moving forward, It’s all about the spectacle. I kindly disagree. It’s about the songs. It’s about music. Bells and whistles are extra, and awesome. You just have to be good.
